DBU’s student-athletes are asked to embody our Patriotic character to the outside world on a daily basis. Expectations are high, both on and off the field, for players to model Christ-like character and uphold the core values of the University. Our athletes have answered that call with excellence. The men’s Patriot Baseball Team competes at the NCAA Division I level and has repeatedly gained national recognition. DBU Baseball has seen four NCAA Regional appearances and took home the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championship last season, while the Women’s Patriot Soccer Team has advanced to the NCAA Regional Tournament three times in the past four years.

However, Patriot Athletics is about more than winning games. DBU student-athletes are given a rare opportunity to shine the light of Christ not only through local competition, but also on a global scale. At DBU, student-athletes share the love of Christ through hands-on service projects on a regular basis. In addition to global initiatives, DBU student-athletes are able to apply their leadership skills and God-given talents through service-learning experiences here at home.
