CANS Objectives• Since 1999, top leaders in networking and applications research
and development from China and United States gather annually at the Chinese - American Networking Symposium (CANS) to– Exchange information and experience, – Discuss new ideas and advancements in networking
technologies and research applications, and – Promote partnerships between American and Chinese
educational and research institutions, and the private sector and – Build friendships.
• Alternately held in the USA and China, the programs include presentations by networking experts and disciplinary researchers, panel discussions, and executive and technical breakout sessions – and Working Groups focused on challenges of mutual interest.
