Kate Shin, NY based boutique real estate developer, and renowned

architect Toshiko Mori have revealed the design of 170 East 80th St,

a modern mansion that reinvents the New York City townhouse.

The innovative design introduces abundant natural daylight and

additional elements such as air and water into an existing structure,

creating a serene open space for today’s contemporary lifestyle.

The mansion’s design also incorporates elements from Eastern

and Western cultures. It’s a mix of classic and modern. The town-

house’s original 19th century façade has been restored but the

inside of the home has been transformed into a modern mansion.

Featuring an exclusive tour of the extraordinary property and

exhibition of international artists, our evening champagne reception

will re�ect the tasteful glamour of the space created by Kate Shin

of Wemit, LLC. A select group of art collectors, dealers, artists are

invited to view emerging artists work in the newly renovated

13,000 sf private gallery with residence at 170 East 80th Street.

The ground �oor gallery begins a showcase for the artists’

work including painting, drawings, installations, sculpture,

and photography, culminating with a spectacular multi-story

water wall surrounded by pond sculpture garden. Taking

advantage of the vast openness of the �ve-story townhouse,

the collection of artwork continues to weave throughout the

�oors. The �fth story solarium features a site-speci�c sculptural

installation that activates a recollection of the works at the

entry, creating a holistic art and architecture experience.
