Symptom

This is a composite SAP Note for known problems in BR*Tools Version 7.40. The SAP Notes listed below contain detailed information about the problems that have been solved. BR*Tools 7.40 is the successor version to BR*Tools 7.20. Patch 1 of BR*Tools 7.40 corresponds exactly to Patch 31 of BR*Tools 7.20 with regard to the scope of functions. In the future, any extensive functional enhancements will take place only in BR*Tools 7.40. You can use BR*Tools 7.40 for all SAP releases and kernel versions, but under the following two conditions: -the hardware and OS requirements that apply for SAP Kernel 740 must be satisfied (for example, Linux SLES11 or RHEL6) -the Oracle database version must be 10g or 11g(support for Oracle 10g can be discontinued/restricted in future) Important ------- To be able to use BR*Tools 7.40 under Oracle 10g on Unix platforms, Oracle Instant Client 11g must be installed under /oracle/client/11x_64/instantclient.
