Cambodia, the Kingdom of Wonder with its world’s famous Angkor City is one of the top tourist a�rac�ons in the

region. The number of tourist entering the country reached 4.8 million in 2015 and register a 6.1% growth. This figure is expected to increase in 2016 with the influx of tourists from China.The tourism sector generated nearly $3 billion in revenue — accoun�ng for 17 percent of Cambodia’s gross domes�c product (GDP). Tourism generated more than 500,000 direct jobs — about 13 percent of the country’s t o t a l workforce.

At the same �me, more Cambodians are taking holidays locally and interna�onally as disposal income increased as a result of the expanding economic growth. Outbound tours to regional ASEAN countries are key des�na�ons. As a result, local resorts and a�rac�ons such as water and theme parks are seeing more a�endance.

The Cambodia Interna�onal Travel Fair 2017 (CITF 17) which is hosted by the Cambodia Tourism Federa�on and supported by the Pacific Asia Travel Associa�on ,Cambodia Associa�on of Travel Agents and the Cambodia Hotel Associa�on is set to be the largest interna�onal travel fair in Cambodia. To be held at the DIEC, KohPich, Phnom Penh, the CITF 17 is a trade and public event that will showcase local and interna�onal travel and tourist a�rac�ons and des�na�ons.

In par�cular, the Fair will support the development of the travel and tourism sector by promo�ng local a�rac�ons, resorts, hotels and theme parks. In addi�on, this Fair will provide an opportunity for interna�onal airlines, tourism agencies and a�rac�ons to meet the increasing demand for overseas travel by group and independent Cambodians.
