INTRODUCTION

Although this is a relatively simple fix, without a clear understanding of how to remove the bulb youmay end up doing much more work than is required or even potentially permanently damage yourcar's wiring. Also this is an absolute necessity to fix as the front headlights are crucial for the safeoperation of your vehicle.

Step 1 — Headlight Bulb

Reach underneath the panel belowthe steering column and pull theblack lever to unlock hood. The leverwill have an icon of a car with apropped open hood.

Step 2

Place two fingers underneath hoodbut directly on top of Toyota emblemto locate hood latch. Push up withboth fingers to unlock latch.

Step 3

Located right behind the headlight isa red Deutsch connector. Push downon that connector to unplug wiringand rotate unconnected portioncounterclockwise, facing from thedriver's view, to remove bulb.

Step 4

With bulb exposed, twist broken bulbcounterclockwise to unscrew fromelectrical connection. Screw in newbulb clockwise and replace back intosocket.
