Example: Seth Rorem would have several of the best distances in the Shot Put, but only his personal best is listed. Performances are a mix of metric and english distances. If the race was run at an english distance (yards), the converted metric performance follows in parenthesis. The following table, according to the National Federation of State High School Associations, is used to convert yard distance times to metric distance times:
