Ships
• Auctions: there will be 6 ships released each year for auction. Teams decide the biding price and number of ships. The auctioned ships will be allocated by the order of biding price from high to low, and they can be used immediately.
• Every year each team can choose to construct new ships at a fixed price of $300 per ship. The maximum number of ships each team can construct for each year is 5. The ships are picked up and paid for at the end of the year, so there is a one-year construction delay before the ships may be used.
• At the end of the game your ships will be sold. The ship salvage value is a constant set of $100 per ship.

Sequence of Debits and Credits
Fish Banks, Ltd. © 2001 Dennis L. Meadows
You start the year with a bank balance that has accumulated through all past years.
If you buy ships at auction, the cost is subtracted.
You are then charged for the operating costs of your fleet.
Your fish catch is calculated and you are credited with the sales income.
The minimum balance is calculated and your account is adjusted by the appropriate interest.
Finally, your account is charged for the cost of any new ships you ordered at the beginning of the year.
