REFIXATION ON ACCRUAL OF INCREMENT IN OLD POST

• An official opts to get his pay fixed from his date of next increment.

• From the date of promotion to till the date of next increment the pay in pay band will be the old one and there will be no change .

• But the Grade pay will be the grade pay attached to the promotional post.

• On 01.07. the official will be granted two increments.• One normal increment due on 01.07.and another

one notional for promotion.

Page 18: 1.Pay Rules

REFIXATION AFTER ACCRUAL OF INCREMENT IN OLD POST

• While computing the first(normal) increment basic pay + old grade pay prior to the date promotion shall be taken in to account.

• This will be added to the basic pay • Then the second(notional) increment will be

calculated by taking in to account of basic pay +first increment + old grade pay

• Then this will be added to the basic pay.• With this basic pay new grade pay will be added.
