Health:BOYNECREST: All bulls are on an approved vaccination program using Express 5 with Somnugen and Ivomec and have been semen tested by a licensed veterinarian. SKYRIDGE: The animals in the sale have met all of the necessary health requirements. Vaccinated for IBR, BRSV, Black Leg, given vitamin A&D, Muse (vitamin E) and treated twice with Normectine for parasites. All bulls will be semen tested prior to sale day.

Decision Deferred bulls will be selling in the sale and will be tested afterwards. No D.D bulls have to be paid for on sale day.

Semen Reserve: Boynecrest and Skyridge reserve the right to collect semen for in-herd use only on any bull in our sale. Semen would be collected at Boynecrest�’s & Skyridge�’s expense and buyers convenience.

Delivery Terms: Free delivery to central points in Manitoba and Saskatchewan and to the U.S port of entry at Dunseith N.D, distances beyond at cost.$50 off per bull if picked up sale day.Associated costs of export will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Wintering ProgramBulls can be wintered free of charge until April 1, 2013. After April 1 there will be a charge of $3.00 per bull per day. Bulls that are returned to the seller�’s farm must all be insured by the purchaser.

" e sale is a video sale at the Rathwell hall, with the bulls available for viewing 3 miles east at Skyridge farms right o# #2 highway. With the amount of interest in our program, and selling bulls out of the yard, we are now o# ering our bulls up for auction. I have been involved with the purebred and commercial cattle business most of my life. My involvement

has been with several breeds over the years and I have witnessed various fads and extremes in types of cattle come and go. I have always been focused to maintain functional cattle in my herd that would work e$ ciently in purebred and commercial operations.Elaine has been involved with the Simmental breed for over 32 years. We purchased our ! rst red factor Simmental bull in 1997, out of the stall at Regina Agribition. Since then, we have concentrated solely on developing purebred red and black Simmental genetics through careful herd sire selection as well as an extensive A.I program.Over the past 16 years, Elaine, our 3 girls and myself have participated in many shows and sales as well as selling bulls and females out of our yard. We can�’t say enough about our red bull calves; they are all stamped very similar in frame, size, muscling and fleshing ability. Extremely long, thick, tons of rib, smooth made and as correct as they come. This fall we sold 4 red bull bred heifers averaging $4300. Red Bull was an A.I sire we used extensively in our program. We used him two years in a row, as we liked our first calf crop so much. I think you will be impressed with the consistent quality our red bulls have to offer.

TNT Turbo is homozygous polled, sired by Accelerator, and is out of the great Sadie cow, Top Gun�’s dam. He produces calves that are stout full of meat and muscle. His females are easy calving with lots of milk and great udders. We have not sold any heifers to date out of this bull as we have been building our maternal traits around Turbo, with the exception of 106Z who is headlining the open heifers. There are only a handful of Turbo bulls in the sale due to the fact that we had mainly heifer calves. We are very pleased with the progeny this young herd sire has produced.

Rolex is homozygous polled and was our pick of the Lazy S bullpen in 2011. Rolex is a bull that�’s got it all, tons of middle, thickness, and huge testicles in a moderate frame. He has given us the calves we have always dreamed of, thick, easy fleshing and sound and extremely vigorous at birth. Rolex is Body Builder grandson and out of a Rezult dam. In our herd sire selection, selecting bulls that are maternal on both sides of the pedigree, is most important to us. Our cows do all the work on pasture, as our calves do not receive creep feed. Rolex is doing just that for us, his daughters are at the top of the replacement pen this year.

Boynecrest Bullseye 89X was our high selling bull in 2010 out of the yard to Kent Allison. We reserved the right to use the bull before going to his new owners heifer pen. We used Bullseye on our yearling heifers with no calving trouble. The 2012 Pembina pretty lady winner was our Bullseye sired calf. Boynecrest Bullseye is deep red; smooth shouldered and extrememly stout in his makeup. All the bullseye calves display natural muscle and thickness and soundness of structure on a moderate frame. Boynecrest Reggie is wide over his top and a super long spined bull with a strong hip. 13Z has had the herd bull look since day one. A full sister sold in the 2012 Shades sale for $6500 to McIntosh Livestock, Maymont Saskatchewan. We would like to welcome you to our 1st annual Bull and Female sale hosted in conjunction with our friends at Boynecrest Stock Farms on March 16, 2013. I would like to begin by personally thanking our past and future customers for your support and con! dence in our breeding program!!I have been involved in the cattle business all my life. Being born and raised

on a dairy, the love of life on the farm was engrained at a very young age. I feel that the experiences and skills learned both in the barn and showing cattle through my childhood have complimented and coupled well with my venture into the Simmental business. Jen and I purchased our homestead and were married in 2004. We started our herd with 2 registered Simmental fullbloods from Woodsong Farms early the following year. In “06” we became known as Skyridge Farms and for the last 8 years have continued to progress and expand. In 2011, we welcomed our beautiful little girl Madilyn. Her love and interest in cattle and farming is already very remarkable… " e herd now consists of approx 60 head of registered cattle, mostly fullblood and & eckveih genetics. Our goal is to produce herd bulls and replacement heifers that perform well for both commercial and purebred breeders. All cows and heifers are synchronized and then bred to leading AI and herd sires. Jenny and I both work of the farm and a short calving season is needed. " e calves have no creep feed; therefore weaning weights are the results of grass and milk. All cows, along with their calves are weighed in the fall assisting us in verifying which cows are producing well. We are also very involved in our embryo program which is helping us expand our herd with the best genetics available. Our bulls and heifers are fed a pelleted ration along with millet silage giving them su$ cient time to develop into future sound, good footed, herd bulls and productive replacement females.I feel the bull pen this year is the most consistent, powerful we have raised thus far…along with four replacement heifers that will ! t into anyone’s herd and thrive. A group we are proud to o# er to commercial and purebred breeders alike.All animals in the sale are on a full vaccination program and bulls will be semen tested prior to sale day." e sale will be held in the Rathwell Community Hall (a short 3 minute drive from the farm) in a live video format where the cattle will be moving on a large screen while being sold. Our bulls and females will be available for viewing on site at Skyridge Farms prior to and on sale day. Boynecrest Open HeifersWe are offering a selection of purebred and percentage heifer in our sale. All heifers have been wintered on hay and 6lbs of a heifer growing ration with all the necessary vitamins and minerals. These heifers are on a full vaccination program, express 5 with somnugen when they were weaned and a booster of express 10 in March. All the heifers have been observed cycling and should be ready for their new owners breeding program.

Mandy�’s mother was purchased at the Tatshenshini Dispersal sale in Alberta. Her mother has a tight udder and extreme thickness to her. With all the famous old fleckveih bloodlines behind her, like Baltimore, Arni 8M, King Arthur and Emperor she is destined to produce. Worried about the white? Carmel is a polled King daughter out of a hard working first calf Appollo dam going back to a Woodsong cow purchased from Ralph Whitfield several years ago. Our Woodsong cows have produced extremely well for us and we expect the same from 31Z.
