Welcome,

When you work hard and put in the extra effort, good things happen! That is

exactly what your SCI Charlotte board members have done this past year. I am

very happy and proud of the accomplishments that have been made on behalf of

this board. You should all be as proud as I am to be a member of this Chapter.

Your board has been working on this fundraising event to make it the best we can

and will strive to improve it year after year.

As a member of the SCI Charlotte Chapter we invite all of you to take advantage

of everything that we have to offer. Come join us at our events, dinners, awards

and membership meetings. We enjoy meeting with you and talking about

hunting, fishing or anything that may be of interest or concern to you. We want

you to be involved and are always looking for volunteers for our projects and

events. If you are interested contact us and we will put you to work.

I want to say that as President of the SCI Charlotte Chapter I am thankful for this

experience and I’m enjoying my time on this board. I have met a lot of great

people, made a lot of friends and enjoyed making good things happen for our

community. So many great memories!

Minimum Bid: Auction Items marked with minimum bids have a reserve price. These items will be sold only if

the reserve (or minimum) price is met. The high bidder will have the first opportunity to purchase the item at

1. Upgrading your hunt, while not required, is certainly appreciated by our donors. If you do not want to add

another animal, consider bringing along a friend. This really helps out these outfitters and hunting companies

that are trying to help us! With few exceptions, these donors are not wealthy philanthropists, but rather they

donate to help wildlife, ensure the future of our sport, and generate new business for themselves. Please do

what you can to help!

2. If you buy a hunt at our auction that the donor fails to provide for you, through no fault of your own,we will

make arrangements for a replacement hunt or we will issue you a credit. If you simply find it inconvenient to go

on the dates available, or change your mind for some reason, then it is to be worked out between you and the

outfitter. The buyer is responsible for communicating directly with the outfitter to confirm dates and details.

3. Different hunts include or specify different things, such as meals, lodging, transportation, weapon type, (gun,

bow, or either), available dates, etc. Please read the descriptions carefully. As a general rule, hunting licenses

are not included, unless on an enclosed game ranch. On Canadian hunts, there may be a Goods and Services Tax

added to the selling price of the donated hunt (approximately 7%).

4 We do our best to solicit donated hunts only from competent outfitters. However, we do not guarantee the

quality or success of any hunt purchased at this auction. All of this said, it is important to note that hunts

purchased at our auction generally go very well, with both the donor and the buyer being satisfied. Certain trips

such as mountain hunts or spot and stalk hunts require a high level of physical fitness to maximize the

opportunity for success. Other trips, such as game ranch hunts, are not as physically demanding.

5. Please report the results of your donated hunt on the form included in your buyer’s packet. We really would

like to know how it went. We also would like to encourage all buyers to submit photos and/or a complete story

for publication in our chapter’s newsletter.

6. All sales and prizes are subject to state and federal taxes including sales tax.

7. GUNS: If you win a gun raffle or auction and you cannot legally own a gun or pass the NICKS check; all that

you will be awarded is the refund of your ticket price.

5. Mexican Jungle Ocellated Turkey Hunt for 2 hunters

Head south into the remote jungles of the southern Yucatan of Mexico. Your

trip begins on a Sunday from the end of March thru mid-May and will

conclude on the following Saturday. You will be transported overland for

approx. 5 hours, the last couple of hours by Jeep, deep into the jungles that
