    First Sunday of dventAdvent has a two-foldpurpose:

    * to prepare for Christmas when Christs birth is remembered

    * to await Christs second coming at the end of time

    Refugee Appeal: As we prepare for Christmas we invite you toagain be generous to the plight of refugees. Envelopes areavailable in the Gathering Space.

    Weekend Masses

    Thank you to the parishioners who responded in relation to the above. All yourresponses were shared during the past week with members of the Parish PastoralLeadership Team as well as the members of the Liturgy Committee. Also takeninto account are the Mass Times at our neighbouring Parishes as well as the AnnualMass Count that was conducted last weekend (see below):

    Vigil: 76 parishioners 8.30am: 130 parishioners 10.30am: 239 parishioners

    6.00pm: 115 parishioners Purnim: 19 parishioners

    NB: With approximately 560 parishioners attending St Josephs Church on any

    given weekend, three (3) Masses would more than meet the needs of our worshippingcommunity.

    Christmas Vigil: 5.00pm (St Josephs School Assembly Hall)

    7.00pm & 9.00pm (St Josephs Church) 8.00pm (Purnim)

    Christmas Day: 9.30am (St Josephs Church)

    Fr John McKinnon will assist with Masses at St Josephs this Christmas.

    Christmas Masses: If you wish to be involved in a ministry at our Christmas

    Liturgies please place your name on the roster (Gathering Space).
