    1. Lap-compDesktop:

    The seller was interested in selling Acer / HP / Dell desktops. The prices quoted were

    Acer dual core 1Gb, 320Gb with all accessories and 3yr onsite service at Rs.19250.

    HP dual core 1Gb, 320Gb with all accessories and 3yr onsite service at Rs.22500.

    Dell dual core 1Gb, 320Gb with all accessories and 3yr onsite service at Rs.24000.

    Laptop:

    The seller did not have HCL laptop and he suggested buying Dell or HP, his perception towards

    the HCL was not good interns of its after sales services.

    The prices that he quoted were (for core i3 3Gb, 320Gb, 15)

    Dell Rs. 28500

    HP Rs. 27500

    Acer Rs. 23500

    Samsung Rs. 23500

    Asus Rs. 23500

    Toshiba Rs. 25750

    2. Mahalaxmi ComputersDesktops:

    The seller was forcing and convincing to buy an assembled desktop than purchasing a branded

    one. He was more emphasizing on the warranty. He was ready to give a 3 year warranty on the

    assembled desktop. The price that he quoted for the assembled desktop was Rs. 17000. Theconfiguration was I3, 2Gb, 500Gb, 16 LCD and a DVD R/W. The probable branded desktop that

    he would sell was Acer.

    Laptop:

    The seller strongly recommended to purchase the HP laptop and supported his suggestion with

    the warranty that the company is giving and he said that it is the most selling laptop brand in the

    market was HP.

    The configuration was I3, 4Gb, 500Gb, 15, win 7 home and the price that he was ready to sell

    was Rs. 28500.

    3. IT E XpressDesktop:

    The seller was most interested in selling an assembled desktop; he did not have any branded

    desktops in his store. He quoted Rs. 16500 for the assembled desktop with configuration of

    same above but without speakers and graphics card.

    For the second generation I3 the seller suggested to buy either Acer or HP. The prices that he

    quoted were

    HP Rs. 28500 (I3, 4Gb, 320Gb, 15.6)

    Acer Rs. 23500 (I3, , 3Gb, 320Gb, 15.6)

    4. Dynamic ComputerDesktop:

    The retailer was forcing to purchase assembled desktops. And I asked for the branded desktops

    so he suggested buying HCL or HP computer. But interesting fact was he did not have any of the

    branded desktops in store display, he said he would get them after 1hour if I order the purchase.

    The price that he quoted for both HCL and HP was Rs. 18000 (dual core, 2Gb, 500Gb)

    Laptop:

    The retailer was interested in selling HP or Acer; he supported his suggestion with the help of

    the service that the HP is providing and price of the Acer. He also added that the HP was the

    highest selling laptop in the market and consumers are mostly preferring HP laptops.

    The prices that he quoted for 2nd generation core i3, 3Gb, 320Gb were

    HP Rs.24500

    Toshiba Rs.23750

    Asus Rs.23500

    Sony 5% discount on MRP

    5. Viratra ComputersDesktop:

    The retailer did not have any branded desktops in his store and he was insisting to buy

    assembled desktop and for the above quoted configuration and the price he quoted was

    Rs.17790 (AMD) and Rs.20700 (Intel).

    Laptop:

    The retailer was insisting to purchase Dell or HP (2nd

    generation, i3, 3Gb, 320Gb)

    The prices that he quoted were

    Dell Rs.37000

    HP Rs. 28000
