By Laura WILLIAMS BROWN, Box 214, Crescent, OK 73028. Soft cover, 11x8'12 inches, spiral bound, 160 pages, illustrated, indexed, $15.00. A History of One, Of The Many, John Williams Families In America begins with Eli WILLIAMS the son of John WILLIAMS from Wales. Eli was born in Virginia ca 1770. He married Chloe COLLINS and the couple lived in Williams Township, Chatham County, North Carolina, where their nine children were born. They are then found in West Tennessee near Mifflin, Henderson County and finally in South Gibson, Ten- nessee. The known descendants of this WILLIAMS family have been organized into family units with the use of family ancestral charts, which is an excellent way to present a family as a complete unit. With the known data and statistics completed, each chart becomes a brief family history. Section I of this fine record contains the charts of John WILLIAMS - the early ancestor. Part II contains the charts of Eli WILLIAMS and his wife Chloe COLLINS WILLIAMS, their children and the allied families. Part III contains the charts of John WILLIAMS, the fourth son of Eli and Chloe, his first wife Emeline HOCKA- DAY HAIL, their children and allied families. Part IV contains charts on John WILLIAMS and his second wife Nancy Caroline PER- KINS, their children and the allied families. Part V includes recorded instruments and a photo album. 482-64 PETER AND ANNA WHITESEL OF VIR- GINIA AND THEIR DESCENDANTS. 1982.
