Writing an Informative EssayThe goal of an informative essay is not to present your opinion, but "to inform or educate the audience on a given topic".Your informative essay might explain something most readers will not know present the latest research on a topicdefinea complex termcompare and contrastopposing viewpoints analyze acause-effectrelationship teach readers how to solve a problem or apply knowledge

For this course, your informative essay should be 34 pages in length You should also use a formalacademic writing style, avoiding contractions likewon'tand presenting evidence objectively

Now.. possible topics A. Because of its growing middle class, Mexico has become a desirable market for many companies. Think of three specific people you know in terms of their different buying habits. Maybe one is an impulse buyer and another buys only high-status items, and another buys only items on sale, for example. How typical are these habits in Mexico. Write an essay in which you generalize about these people to create three consumer "types."

B. Write an essay in which you explore the idea of UDEM's student body. Write an essay in which you generalize about the diifferent types of students taking classes at UDEM, for example, goths, fresas, nerds, etc. Be sure you develop each type fully.

C. Explore your interaction with a type of art (literature, music, film, dance, etc). Do you think that making and experiencing this art is a valuable human experience? Why or why not? Write an essay in which you give at least 3 reasons for your position. You may include examples from your own experience or from research.

D. You may write an essay on topic 2 of "Exploring Ideas and Issues" on page 186 or topic 3 on page 191of the textbook.
