NEW LIFENEW PERSPECTIVE

Today’s Reading From God’s Word:

Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we

persuade others. But what we are is known to

God, and I hope it is known also to your

conscience.

We are not commending ourselves to you again but giving you cause to boast about us, so that you may be able to answer those

who boast about outward appearance and not about

what is in the heart.


For if we are beside ourselves, it is for

God; if we are in our right mind, it is for

you.


For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded

this: that one has died for all, therefore all

have died;


and he died for all, that those who live might no

longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died

and was raised.


From now on, therefore, we regard no one

according to the flesh. Even though we once

regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him

thus no longer.


Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold,

the new has come.

We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians;

our heart is wide open.


Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we

The Love of Christ Propels

Us


For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded

this: that one has died for all, therefore all

have died;


Paul was overwhelmed by the love of

We must yield ourselves to

Jesus.


and he died for all, that those who live might no

longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died

and was raised.


Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ

Jesus were baptized into his death?

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.


Now if we have died with Christ, we

believe that we will also live with him.


For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives

to God.


So you also must consider yourselves

dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.


For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to

God.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who

loved me and gave himself for me.

Our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, gave himself for us to redeem us from

all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who

are zealous for good works.

pure and righteous people.


The Old Has Passed

NEW PERSPECTIVE

From now on, therefore, we regard no one

according to the flesh. Even though we once

regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him

thus no longer.



the new has come.


No matter who you are, you can

be remade.



the new has come.


We are new in quality. At a new level of excellence.


This is a Reality in Process.


We must fully surrender to

God.



the new has come.


Now, we begin to see reality for what it is.


If then you have been raised with Christ,

seek the things that are above, where

Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.


Set your minds on things that are above, not on

things that are on earth.


The old world is gone.
