WARNING: This appliance must be grounded and should only be connected to a ground 110 - 1120V / 60Hz main supply. The installation must be in accordance with the regulations of the country where the unit is used.

• This unit is designed to operate between 41° F and 90 °F. The optimal operating temperature range is between 60° F and 90°F. The humidity level can be set within a range of 40% RH (Relative Humidity) to 70% RH. Typically when the room temperature is less than 59° F, humidity levels are low. When humidity levels are low in the room the LOW TEMPERATURE icon will light up. The LOW TEMPERATURE icon will flash if room temperature falls between 35° F and 58° F. The dehumidifier should not be used when the LOW TEMPERATURE icon is flashing.

• In the event of a power outage, the unit will restart at the previously set function mode and setting when power is restored.

OPERATING THE DEHUMIDIFIER

!

CONTROL PANEL

The Control Panel consists of:

a) 8 control buttons and

b) Display Screen

With these, you control the function of your Aerus Pure & Dry Dehumidifier.

As long as the dehumidifier is plugged in to a 120V outlet, four items will always be displayed in the Display Screen: Relative Humidity, Temperature, HEPA filter (installed or not), and HEPA Filter Timer.

When the dehumidifier is turned ON, icons are displayed that show the current operating mode.

NOTE: When the dehumidifier is turned ON, the Control Panel briefly illuminates.

ON/OFF Press the ON/OFF button to turn the dehumidifier ON and OFF. The dehumidifier remembers the last setting and starts in that mode.

MODE Press the MODE button to change between one of 5 operating modes. The mode changes each time the button is pressed. An icon will be displayed on the Display Screen showing the current mode.

NOTE: See the Display Screen section of this manual for the identification and location of the MODE icons.

• Automatic – In Automatic Mode, the fan operates continuously and the dehumidifier automatically turns on and off based on a set point (40% to 70% humidity) of your choosing (see the “Humidity Set” button).

• Continuous Dehumidification – In Continuous Dehumidification Mode, the dehumidifier operates continuously and the fan automatically switches to either low speed or high speed based on humidity level in the room; low fan speed for humidity lower than 55%; high fan speed for humidity higher than 60%. When the humidity is between 55% and 60%, the fan speed is based on its previous level.

• Drying – In Drying Mode, both the fan and the dehumidifier operate continuously. The fan operates at high speed to maximize the air flow through the unit. Use this mode to extract the maximum amount of moisture from the air in the least amount of time.

You have the ability to filter and purify air with your Pure & Dry dehumidifier by using the HEPA/Activated Carbon Filter. Activated Carbon Filters can effectively remove VOCs, dust, smoke and odors from the air. HEPA filters effectively remove dust and allergens.

Once the unit reads that the filter has been installed, the Air Purification Mode will light up and the interior fan will begin to run at high speed. You can control the speed of the fan by selecting the Humidity Set Key %

M

. This will allow you to choose between High and Low wind speed.

The unit will not operate if a filter is not detected in Air Purification Mode. The filter light will flash, indicating that a filter needs to be installed.

NOTE: Depending upon usage and environment, we recommend you change the HEPA/Activated Carbon Filter each season but no less than once every 8 months. The unit will keep track of how many days your filter has been working. When the filter is replaced, press the FILTER TIMER to reset.

INSTALLING HEPA/ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER

1. Open front panel and remove the washable Pre-Filter by unsnapping from its notches.

2. Place the HEPA/Activated Carbon Filter into the plastic frame. Place the washable Pre-Filter back over the HEPA/Activated Carbon Filter and snap back into place.

There are two ways to remove collected water: Manual Drainage or Automatic Drainage

MANUAL DRAINAGE

• When the water bucket is full, the FULL BUCKET indicator light will flash and the unit will beep for 10 seconds

• Slowly pull the bucket out of the unit (see image)

• Carefully remove the top of the water bucket and dispose water

• Replace the top of the water bucket and slide back into the unit

NOTE: The water bucket must be securely reinstalled for the unit to operate. Make sure the lid is firmly fastened and the floating ball is able to move. It is recommended to turn off and wait several minutes for residual condensate and fully drain into the bucket.

WATER REMOVAL

WARNING: To avoid electric shock, disconnect power before removing collected water. !

AUTOMATIC DRAINAGE

Water can automatically be emptied into a floor drain by connecting the included Drainage Hose.

NOTE: This option will require the unit to drain via a gravity system. Failure to properly place the unit and install the hose may result in water leakage. Please read instructions thoroughly. Once installed, we recommend monitoring the Pure & Dry unit to ensure the unit is draining properly.

Step One: Find the drainage port on the side of the dehumidifier, as shown in the figure.

Step Two: Insert a screwdriver into the circular groove, pry off the ribs connected with the body, and take out carefully.
