Help is always at handIn keeping with our philosophy of making technology user friendly, the MyAir touch screen has a built-in Help Function. It explains exactly what each button on your screen does and gives clear, easy to understand instructions on how to use the system. Feel free to throw away the instruction manual as believe us, you’ll never need to read it!

A simple home The home screen is easy to read and displays all your system options. At the top, centre of the screen is the quick On/Off control. The large box on the left tells you the current system status. The right hand panel takes you through screens to set timers, change fan speed and mode, adjust the airflow or temperature in each zone or adjust screen settings. Simply tap the option you want and follow the prompts.

Unrivalled airflow managementWe love technology, but apps and touch screens count for nothing if a system is not capable of following the instructions they send. Ultimately, the effectiveness of any air-conditioning system comes down to its ability to manage airflow.

Independent testing has confirmed that MyAir Series 3 is in a class of its own when it comes to airflow control. Our opposed blade dampers are capable of adjusting the airflow more accurately so you get the airflow you expect. This means the air goes where it’s needed, increasing your comfort while reducing the running costs.

Open/close in 10% increments to give you the precise amount of air into each room

Opposed Blade Dampers

Superior dampers for superior control Housed in the ducting, dampers control how much air goes where. In standard systems, the damper body looks like a large metal tube and has a circular internal scoop that moves to increase or decrease airflow. The scoop is hinged like a pivot door and as it starts to close, it meets a great deal of resistance very quickly. As a result it’s almost impossible to control the airflow precisely.

As it was impossible to achieve the level of airflow control we were after with conventional dampers, we designed our own: the Exact Air Regulator. Instead of a single scoop it has Opposed Blade Dampers (OBDs). Think of them as a series of double doors that can open and close in precise increments. These OBDs are the reason MyAir is able to supply air far more precisely. The Exact Air Regulator rewards you with smoother, quieter more even airflow, and rewarded Advantage Air with an Australian Design Mark award for innovation.

The option of individual room temperature controlWe all have our own happy number – the temperature at which we feel most comfortable. That’s why MyAir gives you the option of Independent Temperature Control (ITC) for up to 10 zones. The ITC uses temperature sensors, allowing you to have precise temperature control over every room that has one.

Comfortable with the latest technologyAdvantage Air is well aware that our reputation for air-conditioning innovation means nothing unless our technology is easy to use.

The My Air Series 3 control panel is similar to a small iPad and it’s just as intuitive to use. It is fully integrated with most brands of air-conditioning units including Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Toshiba and LG.

MyAir app. Comfort with addedconvenienceTo ensure nothing disturbs your comfort, My Air Series 3 comes with the MyAir app for Apple and Android* devices. It works through your home data network and effectively turns every smartphone or tablet in your house into a wireless control panel. Keep your phone or iPad handy and you’ll never have to get out of bed, or off the couch, to adjust the temperature or turn the system off. How smart is that!

* Android available from 1/12/2013.

Control all zones on one screenThis screen displays every zone in your home. Simply tap on a zone to open or close it. Rooms with ITC sensors will display temperature while others display airflow %. You can change the % increments and adjust the temperature or airflow in each room by tapping the plus or minus button next to it. The Help button at the top of the screen is always there if you need it.

Optimum energy savings or comfort? It’syourchoicewithMyZoneMyZone is the room that acts as a thermostat for the system. You can easily select any room with ITC to be your MyZone. The room that is currently the MyZone will always have an ‘M’ displayed next to it on the control panel. MyZone gives you more choice and control over how you run your air-conditioning system.

For optimum comfort in summer, select the hottest room in the house as the MyZone. This ensures every room with ITC will achieve the temperature you have set. For energy saving, select the coolest room in your home so that your temperature set point will be achieved sooner, reducing energy consumption.

Or you can choose to change the MyZone as you move around your home, for example the living room by day, the bedroom by night.

IndependentTemperatureControl(ITC).InstallnoworlaterIndependent Temperature Control (ITC) is an optional extra that can be installed at the time of installation, or later on. ITC gives you individual room temperature control and can be installed in whichever rooms you choose.

We recommend installing ITC in hotter west-facing rooms, or upstairs rooms. It’s also great to have in babies’ rooms, to make sure they don’t get too hot or cold. By installing ITC in east-facing rooms you avoid freezing cold rooms and the electricity cost to over conditioning them.

In rooms where you may not need the precision of temperature control, you will still be able to adjust the airflow from 10-100%.

However, if you decide you need additional ITC sensors later on, they are quick and affordable to install.

Designed to save energyOur obsession with comfort extends to your energy bills. ITC saves energy by not over air-conditioning rooms - the temperature sensors tell the system to automatically reduce airflow once your selected temperature has been reached.

As every one degree of over conditioning a room can add 10% to running costs, installing ITC quickly pays for itself.

No uncomfortable hot and cold spotsEach ITC sensor acts like a thermostat, constantly instructing the system to adjust the airflow to maintain your selected temperature. If rooms are at different temperatures, it’s by choice! And if you prefer to maintain a single temperature throughout your home, you know it will be achieved.

By contrast, with single thermostat systems there can be significant temperature discrepancies between rooms depending on their orientation to the sun or whether they’re upstairs or downstairs. Hot and cold spots are unavoidable.

Peace of mind warrantyAdvantage Air components are well known in the industry for their quality, precision, strength and durability. To prove our confidence, we provide a:

• 10-year warranty on all ducting and mechanical components

• 5-year warranty on all electronic controls.

Corporate responsibilityAdvantage Air fully funds involved in a community project based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, which provides refuge for abandoned babies. The centre can accommodate up to 10 babies at a time. It takes in babies up to one year old and looks after them for an average of 2 months before they are adopted or placed with foster parents.

The advantage of 20 yearsof innovationAdvantage Air is an Australian company based in Perth, Western Australia. Since 1990, we’ve been designing, manufacturing and distributing innovative ducted air-conditioning systems that handle Australia’s extreme climate with ease. We take pride in creating, and exporting internationally, a local product that is world class.

Our systems have always offered unrivalled comfort and energy efficiency; first with zone 6, then zone10 and Gen III, and now with MyAir Series 3 – the first system for the smartphone era.

We embrace technology and invest heavily in research and development. Our ingenious engineers have developed numerous industry firsts and earned us a slew of patents, registered designs and design awards in the process.

MyAir is designed to be robust and intuitive to use. However, should you ever require service or support, being local we offer unmatched response times. Because we’d hate for you to ever lose your cool.
