Introduction to Strategic Sustainable Development

p r e p a r e y o u r o r g a n i z a t i o n f o r t h e f u t u r e

Course Overview:

The results of unsustainable human development are evident worldwide - climate change, species extinction, pollution, poverty, and inequality are deteriorating our capacity to sustain our ways of life. Our society needs more effective ways of using our skills and resources to create positive change.

The purpose of this course to consider these sustainability challenges using a whole-systems view, and suggests that a transdisciplinary approach is needed to deal with the sustainability challenge of meeting our society's needs today and into the future. The course is delivered in a non-traditional educational setting with experiential and holistic learning methods, to enable hands-on learning.

If you are interested to help take action towards sustainability with your organization, this course is for you!

BTH’s education for sustainable development was recently acclaimed in a 2009 ranking completed by the EESD Observatory.
