How to Nominate for an AwardAll companies, corporations, organisations and individuals are eligible to nominate for any category with the exception of Liner Trade Awards, Customer Service Award and Newsmaker of the Year.

• Any person can nominate another company, corporation, organisation or individual for any award.

• Any company, corporation, organisation or individual can nominate themselves for any award.

• Nominations should preferably be kept to 500 words in a written document but there is no restriction on detail. Nominations can be supported by still or electronic graphics.

• Nominations will close on Friday 16th October 2015.

The 20th Annual Australian Shipping & Maritime Industry Awards will take place at the unique Dockside Pavilion Darling Harbour Sydney

With the Sydney skyline as a stunning backdrop, the 20th annual awards will again host the who’s who of the industry for a night of excellent entertainment and networking. A champagne welcome will be followed by a sumptuous dinner and drinks, and presentation of the awards throughout the evening.

9: Department of Immigration and Border Protection Customers Broker of the Year : Open to all regulated entities or individuals that hold a current customs broking licence, this award will be judged on the basis of excellence both in customer service and also in

10: Australian Maritime Safety Authority Seafarers Welfare Award : This award recognises the corporate commitment of a company to the mental, physical and pastoral welfare of seafarers,

13: Svitzer Australia Port or Terminal of the Year : This award recognises excellence in both specific port/terminal development projects, technical

innovation, overall management achievements and commercial successes.2014 WINNER: Darwin Port Corporation

14: PATRICK New Generation Award : An award for a person under the age of 35, working in any sector of the

Australian maritime or transport industry, deemed to have made special contribution to his or her industry during the past 12 months.2014 WINNER: Chris Russell

15: Customer Service Award : This award recognises the standard of customer service offered by individual shipping lines, or their agent, as seen by their customers. This award is not open for individual nomination – all lines and their agents will be automatically judged via an on-line survey of

subscribers to Lloyd’s List Australia. To win this award a business must excel in providing the highest level of customer experience via their involvement in communications, problem solving and innovation.2014 Winner: Hamburg Sud Australia

16: Insync Personnel Newsmaker of the Year Award – This award goes to the person deemed by the

editorial staff of Lloyd’s List Australia to have had the most newsworthy impact on the transport and logistics industry in the past year.2014 WINNER: Australian Maritime Safety Authority

Cancellation Policy & Substitutions:Cancellations must be advised in writing at least ten (10) working days prior to the event. An administration fee of $1,100.00 (inc 10% GST) will be applied to sponsored table cancellations, $550.00 (inc GST) for standard table cancellations and $60.50 per individual seat booking. A refund will not be given if a person fails to attend or cancels within ten (10) working days of the event. Substitutions can be made at any time before the event without penalty. Informa reserves the right to cancel, alter the content and/or awards on the program. Paid fees will be fully refunded in the event of cancellation.
