The Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) is an international, nonprofit alliance formed to accelerate the potential of research and medicine to advance human health. Bringing together 500+ leading organizations working in healthcare, research, patient advocacy, life science, and information technology, GA4GH Members are working together to create frameworks and standards to enable the responsible, voluntary, and secure sharing of genomic data.
GA4GH Connect is a new phase as outlined in our five-year strategic plan that aims to drive uptake of standards and frameworks for genomic data sharing within the research and healthcare communities in order to enable responsible sharing of clinical-grade genomic data by 2022.

GA4GH Driver Projects are real-world genomic data initiatives that provide input on the standards most needed for the international genomics community to share data.
GA4GH Work Streams collaborate with Driver Projects to frame policy and develop the standards most needed by the international genomics community.
Driver Projects put finished standards and frameworks to immediate use.
The Partner Engagement initiative aligns with global genomics organizations to ensure uptake of GA4GH standards and frameworks, and harmonization of approaches across efforts.
