Paleo-limnologiskstudie: Effekter af vandremuslinger
Tracking the impact of the invasive zebra mussel in Fårup Sø (and maybe the Gudenå?) We would use a palaeolimnologicalapproach and analyse sediment cores alreadycollected from the lake to reconstruct the ecological changes associated with the arrival of the zebra mussel in the system. This study is of particular relevance as the Gudenå system has been increasingly colonised and affectedby zebra mussels over the last decade.

Drivhusgas projekt på eksperimentielt klima setup
How will climate change affectgreenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from shallow lakes? The project will run on the a shallow lake climate changeexperiment, to investigate the relative importance of temperature, eutrophication and ecological state in determining GHG dynamics from shallow lakes. How they respond to climate change will have feedbacks to atmospheric GHG concentrations.
