Explore the medium of photography as ameans of visual expression with a personal andpoetic approach to image-making. This intensiveone-day San Francisco seminar, presented byCanadian photographer Richard Martin, includesinstructional sessions interspersed with inspiringaudiovisual presentations. Topics emphasize mak-ing photographs that evoke and stimulate the im-

agination while revealing the magic and mys-tery of the world around us. There will be dis-cussions on the process of seeing and makingimages, the practical use of visual design, howto produce clear photographic statements, andtechniques such as multiple exposure, montageand motion studies.
