CR/ CS Control Settings

These control values are related to the handover from manual handle control to PerfectPass from the ECM. The right values will result in a very smooth transition.

A value too high may mean the speed over shoots the target before dropping back.

A low value may result in the system not engaging, or it may engage and then disengage. (CR relates to RPM modes, CS to speed based modes.)

Recommended Values

These values have proven to be excellent and most boats should not need adjustment.

Higher values = more speed before engagement.

2006 MasterCraft / Malibu Correct Craft and 2005 MasterCraft

CR 1840 1635

CS 770 750

Example of Adjustment Scenario:

You are running tricks on a very short set up. You may be able to tweak the CS a little lower to effect a more rapid engagement.

 Slalom

-         Regular Slalom mode is gone, the main screen is now the same as Tournament Mode on previous versions.

-         Wind Adjust feature is gone.

-         Short cut to Skier Weight. Press & hold Menu Key.

-         If using a Slalom Switch, the underline character will appear where Menu Arrow is located to signify switch on / off.

 Jump

X8U / X8D – These values can be tweaked and are normally only applicable for very high end athletes.

Page 15: 2006 DigitalPro Display Function Guide Tournament Team Information

X8U represents the rate of throttle up on counter cut pull and on pull to the ramp. The larger the value the softer the start and more throttle will be applied later in the pull. Lower values provide a more aggressive pull as soon as switch is activated.

X8D represents the rate of throttle down once skier stops pulling on counter cut and after ramp. The higher the value, the slower the throttle will return. Lower values will provide a more immediate drop in speed.

Typical Values on 2006 DBW Boats:

5.7 L 6.0L

X8U 85 650 X8D 275 275

A skier has the right to request an X8U value before the first jump. (within 30% +/-) of recommended values. The skier can stop the boat and change this value one more time during the set.

Other Jump Settings:

These settings can be changed on the fly, but system must be disengaged.

S2% - This is the % of jump letter RPM that is applied once the boat enters the 2nd segment. The higher the #, the more RPM that will be applied.

Example: Your first segment was good, but the 2nd was a little slow you would increase the S2%.

S2D – Second Segment Delay comes set at 30 (3/10 of a second) and should rarely require adjustment. This is the time delay once the boat enters the 2nd segment before S2% kicks in.

5.7L 6.0L

S2D 30 30

S2% Faster 80 80

S2 Fine – Normally only used for “drag over” jumpers where you need a little extra rpm in the 2nd to maintain a good time.

Other Tips:

-         On high end skiers, following engagement, the throttle handle should be pressed to full open position to allow the system enough throttle up room.

Page 16: 2006 DigitalPro Display Function Guide Tournament Team Information

-         As you head towards the jump course, make sure the timing was not false triggered from crossing your wake. If timing was triggered, press Up Key to clear.

-         When Jump Switch is used, the underline character will appear in the Menu Arrow location to confirm switch on / off.

Tricks

Tricks is relatively straight forward. You can adjust CS if need be, but that should not be required if value is in the proper range.

Driving Tip: When you enter a turn with system engaged, take note of the “#” sign flashing in the Menu Arrow location. If it flashes for more than a few seconds indicating more throttle is required, the system may have a hard time smoothly reengaging as you head towards trick course. (The ECM and PerfectPass will not hand over control smoothly)

Ideally, when driving tricks you should keep enough throttle on in the turn so the “#” sign does not appear, or drop speed enough in turn to disengage system and reengage after you exit turn and head towards course.
