2006 International Age Group Competition TEAM USA Updates & Pictures June 24 - Trio wins silver medal - Nicole Summers, Melissa Summers & Karilynn Rockhill won the silver medal in the 12-19 Women's Group competition. The trio performed an excellent combined exercise, complete with new leotards, to finish in second place and bring home a silver medal. The score for their combined exercise was 28.400. Russia won with a 28.800. In 12-19 Men's Pair, Jake Kanavel & Lukas Martincik hit their combined exercise and finished 4th, just 0.100 out of third. In the 11-16 age group, both USA pair/groups - women's pair, Cassidy Dolstra & Jordan Rozsa, and women's group, Marina Mihov, Samantha Olivencia & Kristen Sanchez, performed beautifully, but finished just short of the medal posium in 4th

• June 24 - Trio wins silver medal - Nicole Summers, Melissa Summers & Karilynn Rockhill won the silver medal in the 12-19 Women's Group competition. The trio performed an excellent combined exercise, complete with new leotards, to finish in second place and bring home a silver medal. The score for their combined exercise was 28.400. Russia won with a 28.800. In 12-19 Men's Pair, Jake Kanavel & Lukas Martincik hit their combined exercise and finished 4th, just 0.100 out of third. In the 11-16 age group, both USA pair/groups - women's pair, Cassidy Dolstra & Jordan Rozsa, and women's group, Marina Mihov, Samantha Olivencia & Kristen Sanchez, performed beautifully, but finished just short of the medal posium in 4th

place. The USA Team deserves to be commended for their strong performances and representation and team unity. Great Job!

• June 23 - Four USA pair/groups qualify to finals - athletes qualify for finals in each of the events where the USA had an entry. In 11-16 Women's Pair, Cassidy Dolstra & Jordan Rozsa advanced to finals in 3rd position with a total score of 56.200. Jordan Seto & Courtney Olivencia finished in 8th place with a total score of 55.650. Marina Mihov, Samantha Olivencia & Kristen Sanchez qualified to finals in 11-16 Women's Group. Their total score was 55.750 which put them in 3rd place. Ariel Walsh, Kayla Huesgen, and Amber Kottwitz finished preliminary competition in 7th place with a total score of 55.400. For the 12-19 age category, in Women's Group, Nicole Summers, Melissa Summers & Karilynn Rochill finished 3rd in preliminary competition with a total score of 56.450, which earned them a place in finals. Caitlin Cusano, Makaela Bogowitz & Paula Kidwell had a total score of 54.950 placing them in 10th place after preliminaries. In Men's Pair, Jake Kanavel & Lukas Martincik earned a spot in finals by finishing 5th in prelims with a total score of 53.650. (Note: New this year was the rule that only one pair/group per federation can qualify to finals per event.)

• June 22 - USA pair/groups started off the competition with a bang! They performed beautifully on Day 1 of competition and the top pair/groups are in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions. In 12-19 Women's Group, Russia leads with 28.500. Melissa Summers, Karilynn Rockhill and Nicole Summers are in second with 28.150. Great Britain is in 3rd with 28.100. Caitin Cusano, Makaela Bogowitz, and Paula Kidwell are in 11th with a 27.250. In 12-19 Men's Pair, Jake Kanavel & Lukas Martincik are in 6th place with a score of 27.200. In 11-16 Women's Pairs, Cassidy Dolstra & Jordan Rozsa are tied for 4th place with 28.100, 0.700 out of first which is held by Russia and Great Britain. Jordan Seto & Courtney Olivencia are in 13th place with a score of 27.700. In 11-16 Women's Group, Marina Mihov, Kristen Sanchez and Samantha Olivencia currently are in 3rd place with a 27.850. Russia leads with a 28.600 and Great Britain is in 2nd with 28.050. Ariel Walsh, Kayla Huesgen, and Amber Kotwittz stand in 7th place with 27.600.

• June 21 - The USA Age Group Team completes podium training today in preparation for the 4th International Age Group Competition. All of the pair/groups are prepared and ready for competition.
