The first annual Philadelphia Area KosherCommunity Survey garnered a solid response of over150 participants. This report provides someinteresting insights into the strengths and weaknessof local kosher stores, bakeries and restaurants.

For those establishments that did well, I encourageyou to congratulate them. For those establishmentsthat need improvement, let them know that we all

hope their scores go up next year!

We have two goals to improve next years survey.First, a number of establishments did not have asufficient number of evaluations. KCS will work withthese businesses to get their customers to participatein the 2007 survey. Second, few survey takersprovided written comments about the specificestablishments. Next year, we hope to have more

written comments so that summaries can beprovided to the community as part of the report.
