Our work touches the lives o everyone in the Tri-Valley, rom amilies who enjoy
riding and walking, to armers who are able to keep their lands in production, and
to our communities who enjoy the surrounding scenic beauty.
As we look to the uture, we will need your help to take our next steps and add
miles o public trails, protect hundreds o acres o wildlie habitat, preserve
agriculture and conserve scenic areas or all to enjoy. In the end, uture generations
will measure our success by the amount o land let or them to enjoy as scenicbeauty, public recreation, or local agriculture. We do not inherit this land rom
our ancestors; we borrow it rom our children. Lets leave them something to
remember us by.

Board deVeLopMent coMMitteeThis committee met regularly during the past year to discuss the involvement o all
directors in the activities and goals o the Conservancy, to select new candidates or
directorship, and to make recommendations or improving the Boards committee
structure. Setting the goal that all directors would make a personal donation to TVC
was accomplished.
Lastyear,Tri-ValleyConservancyjoined31otherlandtrustsacrossthecountryin

The Tri-Valley Conservancy will continue to ocus on
permanently protecting lands that preserve the areas rural
character, scenic beauty, and diverse environmental resources.
Protecting these lands, we envision that both human lie and
wildlie can survive and thrive.
We will work in partnership with local landowners, the
community, nonproft organizations, conservation agencies
and local, regional, state and ederal government agencies toprotect two major wildlie and biological corridors along the
Pleasanton and Altamont Ridges. We will protect lands that
will allow people to hike, bike, and walk throughout the hills
and vineyards to enjoy the land, thereby being motivated to
protect it. We will promote long-term stewardship o local
lands that will result in saeguarding agriculture and water
resources o the Tri-Valley area.Production of this annual report was partially funded by Sandia
National Laboratory/California.
