fore-aft adjustable. Leather-appointed seating for the first and second row is included with SLT trim. A

second-row bench seat is standard on SLE and available on SLT (not shown); it also features the Smart-

POWER LIFTGATE: REMOTE OPERATION AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

You may control the optional power

liftgate with the key fob, or with a

button just inside the liftgate — or,

if you’re in a front seat, with a switch

in the center console. A built-in safety

sensor stops the liftgate from opening

or closing if it encounters resistance.

The key fob not only controls the available

power liftgate — it also controls the available

Remote Start (standard with SLT-2) and

keyless entry functions.

A rearview camera system (included

with the optional NAV radio2) includes

a built-in camera mounted near the

license plate. It uses the NAV radio

(above) is state of the art, featuring twin

tube shock absorbers, coil springs, and

forged steel toe, camber and pendulum

links. It mounts on an isolated cross-mem-

ber subframe, which helps reduce cabin

noise. The lower H-arms and knuckles are

made from aluminum, reducing unsprung

weight. Cross-axis ball joints enhance

handling in evasive maneuvers.

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM

This advanced system keeps track of tire pressure and alerts you

to low pressure through the Driver Information Center — indicating

exactly which tire is low. The system also sends a message regarding

tire pressure each time you start the vehicle, letting you know any

time pressure is low. (Does not monitor spare tire.)

ONSTAR®3

Acadia comes standard with OnStar and one year of the OnStar

Directions & Connections Plan. In an emergency, an OnStar Advisor is

PASSENGER SENSING SYSTEM

The front passenger air bag2 features a passenger sensing system.

It uses a sensor within the front passenger seat to detect the weight

of the occupant. Under a certain weight, the system automatically

turns off the air bag.

SIX AIR BAGS2

Acadia comes with six air bags:2 two front dual-stage air bags and

two side-impact air bags for the driver and front-seat passenger, and

head-curtain side air bags with rollover protection that function like a

protective curtain, unfolding from the roof rail on each side. Activated

by side-impact and rollover sensors, each curtain includes air bag

sections for outboard front, second-row and third-row passengers.

HIGH-STRENGTH STEEL CONSTRUCTION

Integral body-frame construction makes extensive use of ultra-high-

strength steel on primary load paths. It also uses dual-phase steel —

three times stronger than carbon steel — in key areas, taking advantage

of this material’s ability to absorb the energy of crash forces.

STABILITRAK STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM WITH TRACTION CONTROL

To keep you firmly in control, StabiliTrak is standard. It’s an engineering

advance designed to improve safety, stability and control on most road

surfaces. And that can mean a lot in an emergency maneuver. Sensors

read the position of your steering wheel, and the vehicle speed, brake

pressure, lateral acceleration and turning rate, then feed the data to an

onboard computer. If your Acadia is not responding adequately to your

steering input, the computer adjusts the engine speed and the brake pressure

to any individual wheel to help you keep on track. With sensors that are

programmed to proactively predict and help counteract vehicle “tip-up”

on a flat road surface, StabiliTrak can even help to mitigate a rollover.
