2008 Intercollegiate Business Convention 1 On behalf of Harvard Undergraduate Women In Business, we’re thrilled to welcome you to the 2008 Intercollegiate Business Convention – Business Without Boundaries. In designing the convention this year, we’ve had three goals in mind 1) To help you figure out your next steps – By connecting you with inspiring leaders across a wide variety of fields – marketing, consulting, and finance to entertainment, technology, and retail; and giving you the practical skills to move your career forward – be it writing a resume, pitching a stock, managing your personal finances, dor valuing a firm. 2) To help you answer bigger questions – “How to find a career that you’re truly passionate about?”, “How to achieve work/life balance?”, “How to approach the job market in this economy and era of globalization?”, “How to most effectively give back to society?” 3) To build your network - This year’s group is truly phenomenal, including over 800 women from Colombia and Madagascar to Germany and Hong Kong and more than 30 countries and 80 colleges around the world. Look to your left and right in any of today’s sessions – and you’ll find energized women who are eager to meet you, and to make changes in the way their countries and marketplaces work and want to build the business skills (whether they are headed for careers with NGO's, consulting firms, or in politics) to do just that. We extend our thanks to every individual who has provided guidance and support in coordinating this year’s two-day event. These speakers, volunteers, workshop leaders, and corporate partners are leaders and trail blazers in their communities and fields today. They see in you the enormous drive and potential that will assuredly launch you to become the leaders of tomorrow. We wish you the best of luck, and welcome once again to IBC 2008! Ami Nash, Intercollegiate Business Convention Chair Should you require assistance, please look out for a blue scarf! IBC Committee Members and HUWIB Board will be wearing them throughout the conference and will be happy to help you at any time. Welcome

On behalf of Harvard Undergraduate Women In Business, we’re thrilled to welcome you to the 2008 Intercollegiate Business Convention – Business Without Boundaries. In designing the convention this year, we’ve had three goals in mind

1) To help you figure out your next steps – By connecting you with inspiring leaders across a wide variety of fields – marketing, consulting, and finance to entertainment, technology, and retail; and giving you the practical skills to move your career forward – be it writing a resume, pitching a stock, managing your personal finances, dor valuing a firm.

2) To help you answer bigger questions – “How to find a career that you’re truly passionate about?”, “How to achieve work/life balance?”, “How to approach the job market in this economy and era of globalization?”, “How to most effectively give back to society?”

3) To build your network - This year’s group is truly phenomenal, including over 800 women from Colombia and Madagascar to Germany and Hong Kong and more than 30 countries and 80 colleges around the world.
