Yadira was removed from her bio family (including 8 siblings) and put into foster car in 2003 with her current mom, who formally adopted her in Jan 08. She was the youngest and 2 brothers have since died. Despite this she excels in writing with an overall GPA of 3.2. She is also on the swim team. "It would be such a great honor to be a part of your many life changing moments."

She raised all her own money for a summer program called People to People, which took her to Europe last summer.
