UP-DF750The UP-DF750 supports four different sizes of Sony's Blue Thermal Film: 14 x 17, 11 x 14, 10 x 12, and 8 x 10 inch. Moreover, 10 x 12 and 8 x 10 inch films for mammography are available. These various print sizes make the UP-DF750 suitable for a variety of diagnostic modality printing tasks.

UP-DF500The UP-DF500 supports the 14 x 17 inch size of Sony's Blue Thermal Film, making it suitable for a variety of large-format printing applications.

s�Superior Image ReproductionUP-DF750The UP-DF750 incorporates Sony’s direct thermal-printing technology, which enables superb-quality prints. A high resolution of 604 dpi can be reproduced, which means that one pixel size is approximately 42 μm. Also a new sharpness algorithm provides sharp and crisp images. Moreover, when using the UPT-M710BL and UPT-M712BL high density film for mammography, a high maximum density of 3.8+ can be reproduced.

UP-DF550/DF500The UP-DF550/DF500 also incorporate Sony’s direct thermal-printing technology, which enables photo-quality prints to be reproduced with a high resolution of approximately 320 dpi. By combining a newly developed thermal printing head and an improved PQC (Picture Quality Control) feature into Sony's proven thermal printing technology, diagnostic images can be reproduced clearly and accurately.

Thanks to their innovative printing mechanism, the FilmStation series imagers have a compact design and can be oriented vertically as well as horizontally. The UP-DF500’s footprint is one of the smallest in its class when placed vertically. A vertical installation is ideal when space is limited or the unit must be integrated into your CT or MRI control room or for mobile environments including military applications. Plus, you can easily move them when mounted vertically using the bundled wheeled casters.

s�Dust Resistant MechanismTo prevent dust particles and other foreign matter drawn through cooling fans from accumulating on the film, the FilmStation series imagers have been designed with two completely separate sections: an electronic section and a mechanical section. Moreover, if any dust particles do come to rest on the film pass, the imagers is equipped with new dust-cleaning rollers (two on the UP-DF750 and one on the UP-DF550/DF500) that clean the surface of the film before printing. Since these dust-cleaning rollers are disposable, users can easily replace them when they become dirty.

s�Menu Display RotationUP-DF750When you install the UP-DF750 vertically, the LCD menu can be rotated accordingly via a simple menu setting. This enables users to read information on the LCD easily, no matter which direction the printer is installed.

s�Large 3.8-inch Graphic LCDUP-DF750The UP-DF750 is equipped with a large 3.8 inch graphic LCD, which can display a host of information including graphical images. For example, it can show a text based error message, plus a visual procedure for how to fix the error.

s�Large Effective Print Area and Edge-to-edge-like Printing

Thanks to its precise mechanical control system and a new wide thermal head, the FilmStaton series can print edge to edge on the horizontal plane – leaving only blank areas at the top and bottom of the film. This allows doctors to check films more accurately because there is no aperture when two films are laid side by side.

s�Gamma Curve SettingsThe FilmStation series has gamma curve settings that allow it to reproduce the exact grayscale contrast that users want.

UP-DF750On the UP-DF750, one fixed default gamma curve which is preinstalled and 19 changeable gamma curves can be saved for each regular blue thermal film and high-density blue thermal film. This means that a total of 40 gamma curve settings are available.

s�Sony’s Reliable Blue Thermal FilmSony’s Blue Thermal Film has been especially designed for use with the FilmStation series to provide high-contrast and high-density images with higher durability. By reproducing precise and stable diagnostic images, medical examiners can make accurate medical assessments. Additionally, unlike conventional film, it can be handled in daylight. This allows users to perform all necessary procedures from refilling films to printing images easily in any environment.

s�Sony’s New Blue Thermal Film for Mammography

UP-DF750In addition to the current FilmStation film lineup, the UPT-M710BL (8 x 10 inch) and UPT-M712BL (10 x 12 inch) are newly developed for mammography image prints. These new films reproduce precise and stable diagnostic images with a maximum density of 3.8+.

s�Quick Warm-up TimeFrom the moment it is turned on, it takes only three minutes (UP-DF500)/two minutes (UP-DF750/DF550) before the FilmStation series is ready to start printing. This makes it very effective in emergency use.

s�Environmentally FriendlyThe FilmStation series adopt a totally environmentally friendly printing system. No liquid chemical is used in the printing process and no chemical waste is produced after printing. Furthermore, Sony thermal film doesn't contain any metal component like silver. The UP-D74XRD is equipped with a DICOM interface and a USB interface, both of which allow data to be transferred to it at high speed from external devices. Both interfaces are manually selectable from the menu window on the front panel.

To prevent interference in your analysis of the X-ray image, this film also offers a minimum/maximum density level (0.2/3.2).
