“I had a great experience working as an instructor for the NFCC. The information presented is very thorough and innovative. I learned more as an instructor than I have at any coaching clinic or convention. If you want to get the most out of your coaching career, I strongly recommend that you get into the NFCA Coaches College!”

Patty Gasso, Head Coach, University of Oklahoma

“I have been coaching for 12 years and feel like I’m a good coach. Then I attended the NFCC and was blown away by what I still don’t know!”

Robert Wiebort, Head Coach, Irvine High School (Calif.)

“I just wanted to thank you all so much for creating such deeply enriching courses for the NFCC. I gained so much from these two courses and anxiously await my next opportunity to learn from the some of the most successful, experienced coaches in the game. The humility you all display in your willingness to share your experiences is truly awesome; rest assured it will be honored through the application of the lessons learned.”

Germaine Fairchild, Head Coach, Quinnipiac University

“What a wonderful weekend! Your instructors were awesome motivators, teachers and coaches. Your presentations are the most valuable tools a coach could receive. When I finished the class I thought how much more my players would have gained from this course compared to some of the player clinics they go to for the same price.”

Sherri Shuttlesworth, Head Coach, Northridge High School

“The NFCC instructors were great, especially because they could give examples and really stick with their philosophy. They didn’t make you feel that you had to agree or must completely change your philosophy to fit their teaching progression.”

Amy Tenute, Head Coach, Carleton College

“After attending the offensive class, I felt it was really worthwhile and couldn’t wait to apply what I’d learned. It was incredible. We put a huge emphasis on doing the things needed to create runs – things we’d learned in class. It paid off and was the fastest start we’ve ever had. So from my players and coaches, thank you for sharing your knowledge. We’re having tons of fun driving our opponents crazy.”

Ken Krause, Head Coach, Mundelein Thunder 18U

What educational opportunities are offered through the NFCC?You can take NFCC courses simply to become a more knowledgeable coach. No testing is required for this, but the open-book test is required for Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) through Mississippi State University, Master Coach status, and the master’s degree from Texas Woman’s Uni-versity. The master’s degree requires a bachelor’s degree and acceptance into the TWU master’s program. All eight courses plus four additional TWU courses must be completed for the master’s degree.

What is the usual NFCC schedule like?A normal NFCC class schedule is noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday for a total of 18 classroom hours. There may be some variation to these times, so please check the NFCC website to confirm the times for your class.

What level of coaches take NFCC courses?A: Each class’ enrollment varies, but most have some representation from all levels of coaches. The NFCC classes are packed with exposure and interaction with some of the best coaches in the game today. Unlike your average clinic of two-hour blocks of instruction on various topics, each NFCC course offers in-depth analysis of one aspect of the game that pro-vides participants the opportunity to become a master coach in that area.

Where can i find out more details about the class schedule, lodging, directions to the location, and other items?A: More specific NFCC information can be found at www.nfca.org/college. Upon completing the registration, an e-mail confirmation will be sent to you with additional details for the course.
