Where has the time gone? (ICBICA) How terribly busy it’s been (ISTGBEY) But also that we’ve done lots of cool

things (DLOCT – BDMATCTH). About you - our friends/family (WYWH /

WWWT / WWWASE) And that we wish you ATB for 2010(Don’t worry – there’s a dictionary of

acronyms at the end of the presentation)

So we thought we’d give you a quick look at 2009 from the perspective of:

Narelle

Teaching at UOW PhD a grind – a year to go

(definitely/probably/hopefully) But has also published 2 academic

papers – with Oxford and La Trobe And has delivered papers – at

Hobart and Melbourne And yet has still managed to do

most of the stuff at home – lots!!!

Rae Thesis – “Nerds” Honours – 1st Class Scholarship – APA PhD – start 2010 – “Nerds”

(again/still/more) Proves the saying “It takes

one to know one”

Shan

BCA (Writing) – graduated with distinction

Writing – lots/funny/brilliant/between midnight and 3am/no money in it

Work – next year/boring/dull/between 8.30am and 5pm/money in it

Tall/dark/handsome – proves: - Father’s genes recessive- Adopted, and/or- Role of luck in genetic

inheritance Job – lawn mowing:

- Lots (20+ a day)- Hot- Unpleasant

Attends – WHSPA Talks – Incessantly Enjoys – Life Rules – Universe Next year will – annex the

Sudetenland, invade Poland, start Year 11.

Colin Tall/bald/aesthetically challenged –

proves:- His genes recessive- Rhys was adopted, and/or- Role of luck in genetic inheritance

(see previous slide ‘Rhys’) Gave a few talks – (FCoA x 6/CLE x

4/SICoC x 3x2/NBC x 1x2/ISSO x 1/WCoFLaRotC x 1)

Caught last plane into Halifax as Hurricane Bill arrived

Luggage didn’t – but it did arrive 5 days later – just 7 hours before leaving Halifax
