– Roughly 1.1 million legal issues every year

Steady Rise in Self Representation in U.S. Courts

• For example, at least one unrepresented party in 2/3 of divorce cases in Phoenix and 80% in Florida. Half of Florida divorces are totally pro se.

• In 2009 in Chicago, creditor cases tripled,

“Therefore, you could say pro se cases have tripled!”
