Regularly hold free methanol safety seminars in all of our business regions for customers, end-users & emergency responders. Our seminars are estimated to reach, on average, over 50 companies and some 500 individuals each year world-wide.

Customers benefited: Customers benefited: By increased awareness and alertness to reduce potential methanol incidents. The knowledge transfer enabled customers, their contractors & downstream users to understand & manage their risks more effectively, thereby improved overall HSE awareness in the industry.

We did:We did: Developed an award-winning PM Program by partner-ing with customers, workshops & rail companies that targets railcar equipment & operational issues which may lead to “non-accidental releases” (NAR) or spills. Since 2008, ~200 railcars went through the Program.

Customers benefited:Customers benefited: By the significant reduction in the number of cases and volume of NARs in the product loading, transport & unloading operations. This significantly decreased the risks & associated costs of pollution, prosecution & fines, as well as improved company reputation.

We did:We did: Offered free assessment & knowledge exchange to customers for their owned or contracted methanol handling facilities & practices using our specialized assessment that combines key elements from the CDI-T best standard & Methanex internal requirements.

Customers benefited:Customers benefited: By the identification of risks and opportunities for their methanol handling facilities and practices using our specialized assessment aligned with international best practice. Knowledge transfer enabled customers to manage existing risks & build further growth capacity.
