professor Kimberly Christen, left,
created a digital archive of the
Warumungu Aboriginal community
in Australia which was featured on
the BBC and ABC News.
The interdisciplinary social science programs
at Washington State University offer you
opportunities to delve into the social, political,
economic, and religious structures of human
society and to broaden your understanding
of human behavior.
Pre-Law Students interested in pre-law may major in any field of interest that helps develop valuable skills in reading, researching, writing, and critical analysis.
Human Development Interdisciplinary study provides the background for understanding and promoting healthy development of children, adults, and families through teaching, research, and outreach. As a human development major, you’ll complete an internship to prepare you for career success. WSU graduates are employed in a variety of educational and social services settings nationwide.
Sociology Unique signature courses, internships, and research opportunities enhance your classroom and hands-on learning experiences. Winner of the American Sociological Association’s DuBois-Johnson-Frazier Award, the WSU sociology program has graduated social activists and scholars who have profoundly shaped race and inequality scholarship and attained key leadership roles in nonprofit and governmental agencies.
