Lumen

The measurement unit for the term ‘luminous flux’; often used to specify totalamount of light output from a light fixture.

Lux

The measurement unit of illuminance and luminous emittance. It is used inphotometry as a measure of the intensity, as perceived by the human eye, of light that hits or passes through a surface. 1 Lux is equal to 1 Lumen per square meter. A flux of 100 lumens, concentrated into an area of one square meter, lights up that square meter with an illuminance of 100 lux. However, the same 100 lumens, spread out over ten square meters, produces an illuminance of only 10 lux.

Binning

The process of separating individual LEDs based on their various characteristicsand assigning them a specific bin code. Proper binning ensures a high level of color consistency in the finished LED product.

Convenient Power Hook-Up Sardinia & Cyprus’ built in AC to DC driveelectronics relinquish the need for complicated, expensive, and bulky remote drivers, converters, or transformers. Each fixture is equipped with an 18 awg Triplex cable tail for direct hook-up to an AC J-box. If preferred, attach the optional terminal block/bracket for convenient wiring right at the fixture housing.

Mounting Flexibility With a back housing just shy of 3”, the Sardinia & Cyprus fixtures may easily be installed in shallow ceiling depth locations where in the past, low voltage lights were the only solution. Each fixture is equipped with heavy-duty stainless steel mounting “trap” springs for quick & secure mounting. For a more permanent installation, these fixtures may also be secured using three #4 flat-head screws.

Eliminate Maintenance (costs) High performance electronics combined withskillfully engineered electrical designs have been used in the creation of Sardinia & Cyprus. As such, durability and peak performance are hallmarks of these products resulting in zero maintenance over their 50,000 hr. rated life. No more finicky bulbs to remove and replace. And no more delicate bulbs have to be stowed and likewise none added to your waste bin.

High-Brightness Light Engine

The Ventura/Avalon family of PowerLED downlights utilizes two Cree® high-output LEDs delivering light output exceeding that of 20W traditional fixtures. Each LED is integrated with proprietary drive electronics for the ultimate combina- tion of high-brightness and low power consumption.

Aluminum Heat-Sink Housings

Proper thermal management techniques are crucial to an LED’s longevity. The LEDs inside Imtra downlights are mounted directly to a MCPCB (metal core printed circuit board) which is thermally bonded to an aluminum heat sink housing, or in some cases to a large surface area of thermally conductive aluminum. Our downlight housings are often critical components of the thermal management system.

Designed for a smooth transition into a headliner or other mounting surface, this family of fixtures offers the discreet trim ring profile many designers and owners prefer.

Reliable Screw Mounting

The lights on these pages have twist on/off trim rings to access mounting holes in the fixture’s main housing. Lights can be easily fixed to the mounting surface with fasteners for a secure connection in a variety of surface materials.

Intelligent Dimming

Imtra PowerLEDs use Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology featuring a dedicated ground conductor to ensure ultimate protection from unwanted radio frequency interference (RFI). Our PWM dimming system provides dimming from multiple locations using an unlimited number of momentary switches per circuit.

Single or Bi-Color Options

All Portland/Tacoma models are offered in warm white and cool white to provide the color rendering desired for any application. In addition, Portland, Tacoma 155 and Tacoma 180 are offered in bi-color versions to permit white and an alternate color (red or blue) from the same fixture.

Constant-Current Driver Topology

Imtra PowerLEDs feature purpose-built drive electronics. This technology is the most power- efficient way to drive the LED(s) at their appropriate forward current, regardless of input voltage. The integrated circuit we use in our PowerLED downlights can provide this constant-current to the LED from 10V-30V. The result is maximum brightness and longest possible life across the entire voltage range.

Beam Angle Choices

While many applications benefit from a fixture with a wide beam angle, there are situations where a focused spotlight is desired. We created the Norfolk with a tight light beam for just these applications. Our other lights (on this page and elsewhere) have wider beam angles (most over 80o) to light a wide area which minimizes the number of fixtures needed to light a larger space.

Gibraltar Bi-Color Model

The versatile Gibraltar surface-mount fixture is available with single color LED in warm or cool white, as well as a bi-color model. The bi-color model features a built-in 3 position switch allowing the user to quickly switch from warm white to red LED for night- time navigation.

Solid Brass Construction

All lights in this series are made of solid brass construction for a look and feel of enduring quality and robustness.

Pivoting Light Adjustment

The lights in this series have a highdegree of light shade pivot adjustment. The Hobart, Sydney and Auckland feature side to side and up/down adjustment. The F-4 features a brass coil swiveling gooseneck.

True Warm White

Unlike many other LED lighting manufacturers, Imtra’s warm white fixtures deliver a color temperature around 2850K, like most halogen bulbs. This “true” warm white combined with high CRI accurately reproduces wood textures, skin tones and fabrics with warm tones in a manner consistent with halogen lighting.

TouchLED® Technology (F-4)

The F-4 uses a photo-sensitive “touch” switch eliminating the need for external toggle or push-button. A soft touch to its red sensor LED controls the white light on/off function and red navigation light feature. This fixture may also be programmed to activate the red night-light automatically at dusk.

Intelligent On-Board Dimming

Light intensity regulation is truly unique, using soft keys and micro push-buttons conveniently located right on the fixture’s base. The dimming micro-processor includes a memory feature that recalls the last light level setting prior to turning off the fixture.

Designer Glass Shades

Most of the fixtures in this series are distinguished by their opaque white glass shades. The Munich takes this one step further with models that feature shades in colored translucent glass shades, which lend themselves nicely for ambient parlor lighting, directional reading lights or bunk lighting.

Exceptional Illumination & Light Quality

Silversmith & designer Povl Frigast created the first Frigast- Cabin reading light in 1977. Today, that design remains the quintessential bell-shaped reading light, often imitated but never matched in quality or construction. Still hand-crafted in Denmark with attention to detail and finish, these Cabin reading & chart lights are found on the world’s finest yachts.

Halogen or LED

With the advancement of LED bulbs, you have the choice of using traditional halogen bulbs (10W maximum) or Imtra’s highly efficient X-Beam LED replacement bulbs in your Cabin or Ocean lamps. The X-Beam incorporates proprietary PWM constant-current drive technology and SMD LEDs bonded to a special aluma-core substrate for long-term performance. See pages 36-37 for details about Imtra’s LED replacement bulb options.

Choice of Sizes

Cabin and Ocean lamps are available in two sizes to allow thefixtures to be sized in accordance with the space around them. Both deliver similar light output performance and share the same mounting base.

Flexible LED Strip Tape

Choose our clear epoxy-coated low powerstrip tape for interior accent lighting. Iteasily installs with self-adhesive 3MTM tapesupplied with the product. For higher ambient illumination, we suggest our HO (high output) strip tape. Our HO strip tape is available with a clear epoxy coating (for interior applications) or with a UV-resistant waterproof silicone sleeve for exterior installations. When used for indirect light, our strip tape products provide homogeneous, uniform light distribution without shadows or hot spots and offer a great way to enhance the lighting in your living areas.

LumaFLEX Premium LED Cove Lighting

LumaFLEX is a premium LED Rope Light product with lighting effects comparable to side-emitting fiber-optic or neon products. Its unique “continuous” lighting effect minimizes the shadows and dots associated with standard rope lighting.

LED Rope Light

An economical and easily installed product with many uses such as illumination behind valances, toe kicks, or under a cockpit coaming. May also be used under cabinets or simply to light up a utility space.

Power Input

These products perform optimally withconstant voltage at or near the specified voltage input. Because they will be sensitive to over-voltage and transient spikes, long term performance is highly dependent on the input voltage provided. For household use, some of these products are available as 120V-ready while others must be used with a DC power supply, AC-DC transformers, or an LED converter. For installation on boats & RVs, a power conditioner is recommended. Imtra carries a range of power conditioners for most applications. See imtra.com for details.

Complete Electrical Protection

All of Imtra’s LED flood lights have passed strict electrical testing criteria including ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection, high voltage transient protection, and mechanical shock & impact testing. Evidence of this testing can be seen by the various quality marks assigned to each product.

Quality PCB Components

Using quality LED diodes for our flood lights from reputable manufacturers is not enough to ensure longevity of the fixture. This is why every component on the IC (integrated circuit) is carefully chosen and specified by our engineers to achieve peak performance. We use only quality high temperature capacitors & resistors and UL approved aluma-core boards.

Independent Testing & Performance Testing

Imtra LED flood lights undergo various environmental, performance, and safety testing. These include full system life testing, failure verification testing, electromagnetic compatibility, thermal analysis and LM-79 photometric testing. All testing is performed by accredited third party Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs).

Mounting Made Simple

The F-16/F-17 are rear cable fed, while the versatile LED Engine Room Light may be cabled through the rear or side. All the fixtures in this category mount using just two fasteners, resulting in a quick and simple installation.

Better Thermal Management

The LED Engine Room Light employs an array of low power LEDs mounted to a wide surface-area metal core PCB for optimal thermal management. The F-16/F-17 models each use two powerful LEDs thermally bonded to an aluminum heat sink housing which has been designed for maximum surface area exposure and superior air convection.

Light It Up!

Although the form factors of these lights may vary, they all share similar photometric qualities such as cool-white LED illumination with wide angle distribution. The result is crisp bright light with wide area coverage; perfect for work areas where the space between the ceiling and machinery is limited.

Imtra PowerLEDs are plug and play compatible with the industry’s

What does the IP rating indicate?

The IP rating (aka Ingress Protection Rating) designates the amount of dust or fluid an electronic/electrical enclosure allows to pass through into the product. The rating applies to any enclosure that provides protection of equipment from certain external influences and in any direction, along with protection against direct contact.
