It is time to make your plans to attend the 113th Annual Meeting—Touchdown Arkansas! We have an exciting program this year that blends the old with the new.

The new includes a greater por-tion of the program being hosted at the Hot Springs Convention Cen-ter, including a new and expanded location for the Exhibit Hall (with more ice cream!). The old includes traditional favorites like the Friday

Firm Reception and Gridiron at the Arlington. The new includes a Sports Law Track on Thursday, featuring college football expert

Mike Leach, NFL Referee Walt Coleman, and many others. The old includes an exciting American Board of Trial Advocates

Mock Trial on Friday, giving you an opportunity to see some of the best litigators in the nation at work and witness the deliberations of a real jury. Other highlights include Stuart Taylor with the Na-tional Journal, Prof. Jack Goldsmith from Harvard Law School and a Health Law Track to educate you about the new federal healthcare changes. We also have a return of the popular Lounge & Learn series and Spouses Program. Register today for the fun and education.

It is time for our 113th Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Bar As-sociation. We hope you will come to Hot Springs to meet with your friends and colleagues, renew old friendships, and enjoy the best that the Arkansas Bar Association has to offer.

We plan to expand the CLE offerings at the Hot Springs Con-vention Center and will provide continuous shuttles to and from

the Arlington Hotel for your convenience. Cliff McKinney has done a fan-tastic job of planning the

Annual Meeting with a variety of CLE opportunities. We plan to have Coach Mike Leach share some insights into the world of college football. Barry Richard will bring his compelling pre-sentation on the erosion of our civil liberties. We hope that you will take advantage of the interesting and informative presenta-tions and that your practice will benefit from your experiences here. The traditional social functions will return and we have the added attraction of a Gridiron performance this year. Our Spouses Program will again be outstanding. So make plans now to attend the 2011 Annual Meeting!

Educating attorneys in the art of trial advocacy has been a primary goal of the Foundation of the American Board of Trial Advocates since its inception. The Masters in Trial shows how experienced trial lawyers conduct a trial – without war stories. All of the trial team counsel are well-known and highly-respected in their fields. The Mock Trial demonstration is presented before a presiding judge and a real jury, complete with witnesses, experts and courtroom visuals. The jury will render a verdict in the case, with jury deliberations broadcast into the seminar room. The Masters in Trial is a skills program. The skills you will see demonstrated are applicable to other civil cases. This is a program that will be of value to attorneys who are just beginning their trial practice, as well as the experienced attorney who appreciates observing new ideas and methods.

Sponsored by the Civil Litigation Section, McMath Woods, P.A. and the Tort Law Section.

Special thanks to Paul Nony, Center for Toxicology & Environmental Health, and Steve Quigley, Conestoga Rovers and Associates, for their expertise and assistance. Special thanks to The Data Company for providing courtroom technology and graphics for the Mock Trial.
