act 1 le palais royal

Gazing through the open window of an autumn af-

ternoon, the mingled conversations, the rustling of

leaves, the fall ing of footsteps in the gravelled si-

dewalks… all these elements give to this décor the

soft atmosphere of a vil lage within a city. paris, the

palais royal. a frame, a tale, and a memory that

profoundly inspires the brand yves Delorme for the

second act of the year 2011. theatrical domain, by

excellence; ideal observatory of the human comedy,

the palais royal holds within its walls, the memo-

ries of its splendid past, of the mischevious years,

and of its bril l iant habitants, such as colette and

cocteau, who made of it their hideaway of choice.

act 2 the wilDerness

the threatened kingdom of nature inspires the en-

vironment of sous-bois. the delicacy of a green pi-

ping enhances the borders of a flat sheet or pillow

case…the finesse of a chisled leaf embellishes the

cotton of a bath robe… the softness of alpaca, evo-

king an urban oasis, spreads over the flannel-colo-

red bedcover… sous-bois is a solarized print of a

fern leaf, upon a background of soft moss, barely

visible and whispering across a percale surface. this

all iance is of vegetable greens and of greys reminis-

cent of concrete. yves Delorme dreams of a home

respectful of its environment, and of nature; the

inextinguishable source of creation and of l ife.
