A bias “T” is used to insert DC power into anAC signal to power remote antenna amplifiersor other devices. It is usually positioned at thereceiving end of the coaxial cable to pass DCpower from an external source to the coaxialcable running to powered device This Bias-T iscable running to powered device. This Bias T isused to DC feeding of devices such as theTower Mounted Amplifier (TMA) RemoteElectrical Tilt (RET) systems. Furthermore, theBias-T has an AISG 2.0 modem integrated thatconverts the 2.176 MHz on/off shift keyingsignal (OOSK) to RS485 communication.
