• “The Potomac Workforce Education & Recruitment (PoWER) Center assists wounded, severely ill, injured, and disabled veterans attain employment within the federal government and the private sector through coordinating with medical facilities, learning centers, and non-profit organizations to provide skills training, resume composition, and wrap around services needed to successfully reintegrate into civilian careers.”

• Modeled after Crane Learning & Education Center (CLEC) effort at NSWC Crane

• Initial Partnership – Professional Development Council (PDC) at Indian Head Division-Naval Surface Warfare Center (IHD-NSWC) & Energetics Technology Center (ETC)

• Evaluate and assist the service member’s preparation for career transition into federal, state, and private industry careers in Southern Maryland and the National Capital Region

• Provide unified case management for clientele to include the provision of family support services, resume rework/ composition, and skills training
