    SPECIFICATIONS FOR OVERFLOW LEVEL SENSOR and DATA LOGGER

    General Purpose:

    - The sensor will be installed at an accessible place within the emergencyoverflow.

    - At a programmable interval the sensor will measure the water level in theoverflow structure for the purpose of monitoring the performance of thewastewater conveyance and treatment operation.

    - The data will be stored in a logger unit.- Both, sensor and logger shall be produced by the same manufacturer.- Remote bi-directional transfer of data must be possible at any time for the

    purpose of changing sensor and logger settings and to download recordeddata.

    - The equipment must cope with the environmental conditions encountered inwastewater conveyors.

    Technical Description:

    - Non Contact Ultrasonic Level Sensor.- Sensor Options: Non Contact Ultrasonic Level (ATEX-MSFM003 - 3m

    operating range or better)- Memory Type: Non-volatile solid-state - 128Kb.- Logging Capacity: 50,000 Level readings or more + Battery Voltage monitor.- Recording Intervals range from 1 minute to 1 hour or better.- GSM / GPRS Remote Communication and Data Delivery: Integral antenna

    designed for easy underground operation. The GSM and GPRS networks areused to transfer recorded Data and Alarm Messages to the host computer or

    to the Internet via Dedicated Data-Server (Quad Band - 850MHz, 900 MHz,1800 MHz, 1900 MHz for operation in Lebanon).

    - Local Communication Serial Data Port: Full duplex, asynchronous Data rate:1200, 2400, 4800, 9600 bps.

    - Compatible with Telemetry/SCADA: 2-Stage Level Alarms with SMS/EmailAlarm and Messages to Multiple Recipients.

    - Alarm Dial-Out: High/low alarms, independently programmable permeasured channel. Option to upload data more frequently after an alarm.

    Additional Features:

    - Accuracy at least +/-0.5%.- Integrated temperature compensation for speed of sound.- Beam Angle 10 at -3 dB boundary.- Power Supply: User replaceable Lithium primary cell - typical battery life 5+

    years depending on mode of use. Additional back up cell maintains loggingand local communication when main cell is discharged.

    - Clock: Crystal controlled calendar clock with leap year adjustment. 100seconds per month maximum error over operating temperature range.Option to synchronise clock to GSM network.

    - Environmental Housing - Main Enclosure: Injection-moulded PC/ABS and

    ACETAL. IP68, submersible to 1m.- Certified Intrinsically Safe.- Cable and Connectors: at least 5 m and waterproof IP68.

    - Internal Electronics: Totally environmentally sealed. Operating temperature:0C to + 50C or better.

    Locations and Fixtures:

    - The level sensor (transmitter) must be installed above the lowest point ofthe over flow channel at a location that is not exposed to submersion.

    - The data logger must be installed at cable distance in a location accessiblefor occasional inspection.- The data logger must be located in a place that provides GSM-network

    coverage and safety from vandalism.- Both, sensor and transmitter must be protected with a lockable metal

    casing.- All metal parts shall be entirely made of stainless steel or galvanized iron to

    resist harsh environmental conditions of wastewater sewers.- Metal casings shall be fixed to a solid underground by means of non-

    corrosive metal dowels provided in sufficient number.- The data cable must be adequately fixed to a solid underground by means

    of non-corrosive cable clamps with a distance of maximum 25 cm betweenthe clamps.
