Classic jazz, silky smooth with a gospel touch, that’s the music
of Pat Watson. Her voice and songs inspire her audiences so
much that they cannot resist the urge to sing along and partici-
pate in this engaging soulful musical experience. Mike Padilla
has entertained audiences with his love of the classic standards
like Gershwin and Porter. He has performed in San Francisco,
Japan and Tucson and is a veteran Musical Theatre performer.

Founded and led by the distinguished tenor, Grayson Hirst, this
community-based men’s choral organization is comprised of
men from all walks of life. Members include professional musi-
cians, retired businessmen, scholars, teachers, doctors and oth-
ers. Sons of Orpheus is a not-for-profit organization which pro-
vides music scholarships and supports food banks and other
numerous community organizations. They have performed with
the Balalaika Orchestra, Tucson Chamber Orchestra and the
Tucson Boys and Girls Choruses, among others.

Multi-award winning magician and master stage hypnotist, Mi-
chael DeSchalit, performs for a wide range of audiences from
private parties to schools and for some of the most prestigious
corporations in the world. His unique blend of skilled classical

JACK LASSETER The Saga of the US Mountain Men

This is the story of the American mountain men, the fur trappers
of the old West. This is part of Jack's series of talks on the West
outside of Arizona. This one is all about the beaver trappers in
the Rocky Mountains, who they were, what their lives were like,
what happened to them; and of course, Jack will share with us
some of their hair raising stories as only he can. You are in for
a treat.

Kevin Sterner and The Strait Country Band has been busy the
past few months putting together a brand new show for you!
This concert features the music of many of the biggest Country
Stars to ever hit the airwaves or perform at the Grand Old Opry
in the past 50 years. Country Classics includes music by Con-
way Twitty, Ray Price, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and many
more. You will feel as if you are actually at the "Opry " in
Nashville!

The Dixie Cats are a good old-fashioned Dixieland Band. Their
down south New Orleans feel will get you clapping your hands
and tapping your toes. Whether it’s a trumpet, trombone or
clarinet improvising a solo or all three instruments improvising
together to create that rich Dixieland feel, the Dixie Cats are
sure to entertain.
YOU’RE LOOKIN’ AT COUNTRY Dale Young and Kip Calahan

Dale shares stories and the history of Patsy Cline, Loretta
Lynn, Tammy Wynette and Dolly Parton. Kip sings their hits
and signature songs. Together they guarantee to have you laugh-

He's BACK! Boogie Woogie pianist Arthur Migliazza, along
with harmonica master extraordinaire Tom Walbank, acclaimed
bassist Larry Lee Lerma and phenomenal drummer Doug Davis,
will entertain once again. Former Tucson resident and fan fa-
vorite, Arthur makes his annual migration south for your musi-
cal enjoyment. It's a foot stomping, hand clapping evening not
to be missed.

The wealth of experienced jazz performers in the Green Valley
area has never been more evident than in the big band offerings
of the Big Band Sounds of Green Valley. Big Band Sounds
performs the finest contemporary big band arrangements of
standards and originals including Stan Kenton, Count Basie and
Duke Ellington. You will be treated to the best in big band jazz
entertainment under their new leader, lead alto saxophonist,
Lance Hoopes.
VOICE OF AN ANGEL TRIO Friday, January 11th 7:00 PM

A trio project featuring TSO principal percussionist Homero
Ceron, Amilcar Guevara on piano and Geoff Hamilton on String
bass. The performance will feature traditional Latin-American
music including "new tango" as well as Italian Baroque and
French music. Come witness the extraordinary musicianship of
the Voice of an Angel Trio.
ARIZONA OPERA LIVE AT CPAC Saturday, January 12th 3:00 PM
Tickets: $35
In its first collaborative endeavor, Arizona Opera and CPAC
present soprano Bevin Hill, mezzo Laura Wilde, tenor David
Margolis and baritone Thomas Cannon. These Marion Roose
Pullin Resident Artists will present a program of popular selec-
tions from opera and musical theater. Composers include Verdi,
Puccini and Mozart intermixed with several Broadway favor-
ites.

Nationally acclaimed cowboy singer Dave Stamey has been a
cowboy, a mule packer, a dude wrangler and is now one of the
most popular Western entertainers working today. He has been
voted three times Entertainer of the Year, three times Male Per-
former of the Year and twice Songwriter of the Year by the West-
ern Music Association. He also received the Will Rogers Award
from the Academy of Western Artists. He has delighted audi-
ences in twenty states and finds that he prefers this to being
stomped by angry horses.

This talk is about the ingenious tactics of the Apaches. They
could strike out of nowhere with no warning, then disappear
back into the mountains to strike again when unexpected. They
were outnumbered and outgunned by the Spanish, and later the
Americans, but the Spanish could never conquer them, and it
took the Americans 25 years to subdue them. How did they do
it? Jack covers it all, their kinds of raids, ambushes, avoidance
and survival techniques.
OLD PUEBLO JAZZ BAND Wednesday, February 6th 7:00 PM

The Old Pueblo Jazz Band plays the music of New Orleans-
style Dixieland in addition to contemporary and big band swing.
The band is made up of fine jazz musicians who currently per-
form with The DixieCats, the ThorsSounds, Tucson Swings! big
band, Big Band Express, and others. Band members have
played in the Seattle, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Washington,
DC, and in groups such as the Disneyland Band and the Johnny
Lewis Big Band. You won’t be able to keep your feet from
moving once you hear the Old Pueblo Jazz Band!

Andrew and Melissa grew up together and corresponded with
each other throughout their lives. Love Letters, by A.R. Gurney is their story, told through the letters they exchanged. You will
fall in love with them, as they fell in love with each other. They
are portrayed by Al and Julia Saterbak, who met on stage play-
ing husband and wife and have appeared together in dozens of
performances in Wisconsin and Arizona.

The Green Valley Stage Band has been delighting audiences
with the music they love since 1990. The 20 piece band of musi-
cians performs throughout southern Arizona. They perform a
variety of big band music from the 40’s, 50’s and up to the pre-
sent including music from such artists as Stan Kenton, Glenn
Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Perez

We think of the Apaches as united, a solid block if you will, in
their resistance to the Americans. This of course is wrong.
After all, there were many great leaders such as Chief Loco,
who desperately tried to find some peaceful coexistence be-
tween the Apaches and the Americans. This is the universal
story of an enlightened, responsible, moderate leader caught in
the middle of extremism.
MEMORIES BIG BAND Wednesday, March 6th 7:00 PM

Memories Big Band was born circa 1968. Under the leadership
of Cliff Juergens as well as other leaders, the band has attracted
some of the best musicians in southern Arizona. One Tucson
newspaper describes them “as good as any you’ve ever heard!”

Fresh off their sold out performance in August, Forever Young
presents a tribute to country music female legendary singer,
Patsy Cline. This show features some of Patsy’s number one
hits like ‘’Crazy”, “I Fall To Pieces”, “Sweet Dreams” and
crowd favorites such as “Back In Baby’s Arms and “Just A
Closer Walk With Thee.”

The Ocotillo Piano Trio features Tucson Symphony Orchestra
musicians Paula Fan on piano, Michael Fan on violin and Anna
Gratz on cello. Michael is well known for his wide variety of
styles and children’s compositions, Paula has performed on five
continents and Anna has performed with the Rochester Philhar-
monic. The stellar musicianship of this trio is not to be missed!

Mariachi Luz de Luna has performed all over the world includ-
ing at the Barbican Theater in London, England and on the
Jimmy Kimmel show in Los Angeles. You will never think of

This is real country music! Kevin Sterner and the Straight
Country Band take center stage, paying tribute to the music of
legendary George Strait. Featuring fiddle and steel guitar, this
performance was brought back by popular demand!

The Southern Arizona Women’s Chorus performs everything
from Pop to Classical. Their repertoire is as varied as the
women in the chorus. SAWC has nearly 80 members from all
walks of life. The Women’s Chorus has performed with such
groups as the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, the Arizona Sym-
phonic Winds, the Sons of Orpheus, the Tucson Youth Chamber
Ensemble, The Tucson Girls Chorus, The Tucson Arizona Boys
Chorus, HarpFusion, Tucson Concert Band, Kirby Shaw, Rene
Clausen and the Concordia Choir of Moorehead, Minnesota.
They have performed in venues across the country including
Carnegie Hall.
THE MARY LOU QUINTET Sunday, April 7th 3:00 PM

Mary Lou is a popular local entertainer who plays piano and
flute. She has planned an eclectic program that includes more
serious pieces like Ravel, Chopin and a John Rutter flute and
clarinet duet along with some standard favorites. The second
half of the program will feature the “Mary Lou Quintet” with
Lance Hoopes, Carmen Catania, Lanny Webb and Les Roberts.
The performance will be upbeat and lively and Mary Lou prom-
ises some surprises along the way. If you have attended her
programs in the past, you know that you will be entertained with
quality and a sense of humor!
