A farmer at Sustar Federation Of
Small Farmers in the Khaddar Area of
India threshes rice by hand. After
harvesting rice is left to dry for 2-3 days
before it is threshed. This is the best
way to preserve the whole grains and
the quality of the rice.

NAPP's mission is to serve as an organ of representation, coordination, exchange,
and collaboration for the empowerment of small-scale farmers and farm workers
from Asia and the Pacific within the framework of Fairtrade Certification.
The NAPP was founded on 16th June, 2005.
Producers from different Asian countries built the
network to present a united voice on behalf of
Asian farmers and workers to Fairtrade
International FLO.
NAPP also works to ensure that Asian and Pacific realities and conditions are
taken into account while setting Fairtrade Standards without compromising on the
basic principles of Fairtrade. www.fairtradenap.net
