The federal grand jury indicted Fries on a homemade chemical weapons attack against a Tucson couple in 2009 and the discovery in 2011 of 24 explosive devices in his home. Fries had the charges separated into two different trials, but was ultimately convicted in both incidents.TRANSCRIPT
