- 1961: A group of pioneering Filipino nurses in San Francisco formed the Filipino Nurses Association (FNA)

- 1979: FNA became a charter member of the National Organization of Philippine Nursing Organizations

in the US (now PNA of America)

- 1981: Became PNANC, Inc. a California non-profit corporation.

- 1984: Became a professional organization with the ratification of its bylaws

- 1988: Changed its name to Philippine Nurses Association of Northern California, Inc. (PNANC, Inc.)

- 1993: Sponsored the first International Nursing Symposium, Manila, Philippines.

- 1997: PNANC and PNAA co-sponsored the First Western Regional Conference, San Francisco, CA

- 1998: Collaborated in organizing the first Filipino Nursing Student Organization (FNSA).

- 1998: Launched the annual Pasko ng Mga Bayani Christmas honoring World War II Filipino Veterans

- 2008: Hosted the PNAA Western Regional Conference, Millbrae, CA

- 2009: Launched the ongoing Sagip Kapamilya Sa America-Sagip Kababayan nursing assistant program

- 2011: Hosted the PNAA 32nd National Convention, San Francisco, CA and celebrated it’s 50 th year of service
