Operations Support Services Provided In addition to providing typical project services for new developments, CCI provides extensive operations engineering support services to the offshore oil and gas industry. CCI is very different from most project-oriented engineering companies in that we are dedicated to providing the technical assistance that is needed to improve daily operations. We feel that there are many applications where engineering and technical management assistance to the operations staff would be extremely beneficial, but often is not available. Often, important and profitable issues are never addressed because of insufficient engineering attention. We can provide or supplement that engineering and technical assistance to your operations staff for the following areas.

Annual corrosion repairs both structurally and on process equipment Compression (optimization, maintenance issues and new installation) Gas Dehydration Oil Treating Water Treating and Overboard Water Quality Measurement: Equipment and Measurement Audits Cranes (maintenance, removal/replacement & heavy lift planning) Heavy Lifting using modular cranes, lift boats and lift barges. Piping, Controls and Instrumentation Revisions Heaters and Coolers Quarters Refurbishment Prefab “Bolt-Up” Flowline Fabrication and Installation. Equipment Additions and Modifications with Emphasis on Minimum Downtime Installation. Hot Work Procedures and Coordination with Detailed Safety Planning Maintenance Turnarounds with Minimum Shut-in Time Vessel Internal Inspection and Repairs Control Sizing, Selection and Procurement Field Optimization including evaluations of pressures drops and flow capacities. Corrosion Control including erosion/corrosion surveys Diving Operations Including Platform Structural Inspections. Pipelines (Emergency Repairs, Hydraulic Calculations, Modifications & New Installations) Preventative Maintenance Program for Rotating Equipment Well Conductor Additions SEMP Implementation, Reviews and Hazard Analysis Regulatory Issues Including Facilities and Pipeline Permitting Due Diligence evaluations for Property Acquisition. Site Clearance Coordination for Rig and Lift boat Access to Platforms Platform Abandonment

We inspect and evaluate existing equipment and systems for best operations and maintenance needs. Our goal is to work closely with the operations personnel to resolve most operating problems at the field level. We also work with reservoir engineers and project engineers in planning and implementing facilities, structural and pipeline changes. Evaluation of options cost estimating; scheduling and implementation of construction for system changes are available in this application. CCI is here to fill the gap that exists between normal service company support and major project engineering activities. Let CCI be a part of your operations team to maximize throughput and minimize your expenses. Sincerely, Randy Chapman, P.E.

FIELD EXPERIENCE TRANSLATES INTO COST

SAVINGS FOR YOUR COMPANY

Our Project Management, Engineering and Design staff are required to have the

field experience it takes to incorporate intelligent and “real world” planning into

each project. Too often, there is a disconnect between the planning phase onshore

and the execution of a project in the field. We pride ourselves in having hands-on

experience with the work we are managing. In addition to making the execu-

tion an overall smoother process, there is an element of safety that is

inherent in this process that should not be overlooked.

SERVICE WITH A SMILE?

Chapman Consulting, Inc. is a small consulting firm, employing approximately 25

people. While a lot of companies boast customer service, we feel that we can back

up these claims—and our customers agree. On call 24/7, we can and will handle

your project needs in a timely fashion. We will treat you and your company with the

same dignity and respect throughout our working relationship as the day we per-

formed the first job for you. We know if given the opportunity, the work is ours to

lose. To support that claim, CCI has never lost a customer based on poor perform-

ance since our founding in 1989.

PLATFORM P&A and REMOVALS

• Plan & manage logistics for P&A contractors.

• Decommission facilities and remove Compressors.

• Decommission and abandon pipelines (DOI & DOT).

• Plan & manage barge removal and transportation of structures.

• Plan & manage site clearance.

• Develop sales literature for resale of structures if needed.

• Recent P&A’s completed on: 4 Piles and larger, tripods, Caissons with references available upon request.

• Cost estimates on 150+ facilities (pipelines & structural P&A’s).

• Accurate SEMS and cost

tracking paperwork throughout the project.

PIPELINE REPAIRS

• Planned & managed replacement of 16” riser tube-turn.

• Planned & managed

replacement of 10” riser tube-turn.

• Planned & managed leak

repair on 10” pipeline via split sleeve clamp installation.

• Planned & managed repair of

riser leak located within J-tube at -285’ water depth.

• Partial abandonment of 60k+ ft

16” DOT pipeline; Returned ~43k ft back to service.

• Addressed more than one stuck

pig and returned pipelines back to service

• Numerous pipeline flushings,

picklings & abandonments of DOI and DOT lines.

RECENT PROJECTS • Planned & managed removal of 3

compressors (heavy lifts) and replaced with 2 smaller, more economical compressors.

• Planned & managed installation of compressor, blow case, and water skimmer.

• Planned & managed compressor installation simultaneously with upgrade of existing compressor.

• Planned & managed replacement of production separator.

• Planned & managed complete rebuild of storm damaged LACT unit. Planned & managed a new LACT unit as well as major upgrades on another, all 3 to Shell specs.

• Numerous well flow line hookups.

• Planned & managed compressor cooler repairs.

RECENT PROJECTS • Production Upgrades at

one facility: added float cell, debottlenecked system by upgrading piping to separators, refurbished OOS separator, added crew quarters, refurbished compressor cooler, added compressor, upgraded a crane, added several deck extensions and associated egress.

• Aggressive pipeline abandonment campaign during 2011 for several customers.

• Numerous corrosion

maintenance programs on offshore & onshore facilities.

• Numerous platform removals during abandonment activities.

• Provided engineering

support to SEMS process for several customers.

RECENT STRUCTURAL REPAIRS

• Repaired collapsed jacket diagonal at -50’ Water Depth.

• Replaced W42 deck girder beams on 2 platforms after significant storm damage.

OFFSHORE PLATFORM DESIGN & ANALYSIS

• Performed structural analysis for re-use of Tripod structure at a new deeper location with additional conductors.

• Designed free-standing caisson well protector for 40’ of water depth.

• Designed braced caisson well protector structure for 164’ water depth.

• Coordinated installation of additional conductor guides.

3D MODELING • Use of 3D modeling is used by CCI

for design of new structures, as shown to the right, per latest API RP 2A guidelines. Especially when used in piping design, 3D modeling can assist in minimizing costly field delays by identifying obstructions or other issues early in the design process.

• 3D modeling was utilized, as

shown in the center picture, in preparation of navigating a ROV on a downed structure. This model was used to help develop a plan for the inspection and aided in the identification process of damaged members, conductors, risers, etc. during the inspection.

• Designed and fabricated manifold skid system to complex specifications with weight and size restrictions.

Since 1989, Chapman Consulting,

Inc. (CCI) has been working hard

for its customers to achieve their

goals in a safe, cost effective man-

ner. Our safety record and the way

we run our own business is proof

that we lead by example and can

back up our claims.

In 2011, CCI was recognized in

Lafayette’s own 008 magazine in

their Black Gold Profile. The first

paragraph of that article reads,

“LEAN and mean. Chapman

Consulting, an offshore engineering

and project management firm, runs

its business on these words.” It goes

on further to state, “the lean and

mean’ claim isn’t just a motto; it is

supported by the firm’s daily

actions.” We take pride in our work

and would like the opportunity to

earn your trust and business.
