PRESS NOTE

C.I.S.F. (Asstt. Commandants) Limited Departmental CompetitiveExamination, 2010 & 2011.

Based on the written part of the Central Industrial Security Force (AssistantCommandant) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2010 & 2011 heldon 19-06-2011 and the Personality Test held from 31st October, 2011 to 5thNovember, 2011, results were notified vide Press Note dated 21-11-2011recommending 41 candidates for appointment, consisting of 32-General, 06-Scheduled Castes and 03-Scheduled Tribe candidates.

2. As this is an Examination for Departmental promotion, the results wereprovided based on the eligibility list of candidates for the years 2010 & 2011 asfurnished by the Department concerned.

3. After the results were notified vide Press Note referred to above, CISF haveintimated the Commission vide their letters dated 29-11-2011 and 30-11-2011 thatthe eligibility list they had certified earlier had discrepancies. Based on revisedscrutiny and certification of eligibility, results for the CISF (Asstt. Commandants)Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2010 & 2011 are hereby recast asindicated in subsequent pages. The total no. of recommended candidates continueto be 21 (16-General, 03-SC & 02-ST) & 20 (16-General, 03-SC & 01-ST)respectively. Appointment to Central Industrial Security Force will be made according

to number of vacancies available and due consideration to the provisions containedin the Rules for the Examination.

4. The result of candidate with Roll No.246 is provisional.

5. UPSC has a Facilitation Counter near Examination Hall in its campus.Candidates can obtain any information/clarification regarding theirexamination/recruitment on the working days between 1000 hrs. to 1700 hrs. inperson or over telephone Nos.011-23385271/23381125. Result will also be availableon the UPSC web site i.e. http/www.upsc.gov.in. However, marks on the websitewill be available in due course for a period of thirty days.

6. List of recommended candidates in order of merit is on next page. This list isin supercession of the list notified on 21-11-2011.
