Objective

devices (SmartTV, tele-conference, UHDTV, 3DTV etc.) that require

Build broadband networks in rural areas (small towns) to provide high speed internet service, and provide applications specifically developed for rural residents
• Towns with less than 50 households : matching fund from central gov. local gov. and telco operators (1:1:2)
• Towns with more than 50 households : government loans & telco M&A conditions

What’s next?

Need to predict and think out an effective way to manage future data traffic which will be generated through a variety of advanced devices in high tech era (e.g. cloud computing)- Redesign ISPs’ networks for effective delivery of high quality contents
Considering future demand, FTTH is crucial for gigabit network- Build a base for future services . In the long run, it’s more economic and cost effective
The gigabit internet world: gigabit network+new applications- Create a bundle service in cooperation with CP, Broadcasting companies, electronics companies, portals, CDN, and P2P- Bring down industrial boundaries, and make an alliance among industries to stand up to IT giants like Google & Apple - Design a way to link new industries and the gigabit world
