Baggage rules

For checked baggage, the following free baggage allowances apply per passenger:

in Economy Class 1 piece up to 23kg (50lbs)

for a second piece of up to 23kg (50lbs), the following charges apply per direction (checked-in portion), depending

on your country of travel commencement

EUR 70 for travel wholly within Europe

EUR 75 / USD 100 for travel to/from North and Central America

EUR 150 / USD 200 for all other travel

in Business Class 2 pieces up to 32kg (70lbs) each

in First Class 3 pieces up to 32kg (70lbs) each

Irrespective of the cabin class, one piece of up to 23kg (50lbs) and one collapsible buggy can be checked free of charge for infants under the age

of 2.

The size of each piece of baggage is limited to 158cm (62") (width+height+depth).

Extended free baggage allowances apply on Lufthansa and selected partner airlines operated flights to/from Brazil, Canada, J apan, the United

States, East, West and Central Africa as well as for status customers and are granted upon validation at check-in.

Additionally, you may carry on free of charge one piece ofcabin baggage in Economy Class, two in Business and First Class. The size is limited

to each 8kg (18lbs) and 55*40*23cm (22*16*9") (width*height*depth). Please take note ofthese further details.

In case your checked baggage exceeds the free baggage allowance or standard dimensions, excess baggage charges will apply. P lease also

acknowledge the regulations for sport and special baggage.
